it means to send a single email it is taking 8 seconds. You need to contact your provider to check what’s going on. Usually sending an email should take no more than tenths of second.

Hi, we do not use “create_function”, probably is from a third party plugin interception the wp mailing.
You cannot correct them, it is reporting two emails has (probably) not be sent. The reports addon lists those addresses but usually it is not to be considered a problem if some contact cannot be reached or if the mail server has refused to send some emails. Of course if the percentages of error is important, it is required to understand what’s happening.
You can even enable the logger on main setting to have information reported on log files.

Hi, the problem could be the List-unsubscribe header which is sometime blocked. We need to ad an exception for that header when using office 365.

Hi, you can use lists to collect acceptances, but they cannot be made mandatory. If you have two mandatory acceptances, you can “merge” them in the single privacy mandatory checkbox. The optional one can be a list, so you can segment the subscribers as well.
There is no way to change the admin email. You can see all subscribers with detailed data in the specific admin page.

We have an integration to generate subscriptions from cf7 (but not storing all kind of collected data), while there are plugin which integrate with cf7 to create a database with all collected contact for later export and consultation.
Hi, that “wp_db_temp_dir” is from another plugin which is modifying the standard wp_mail() function. Try to disable other plugin or to understand which plugin is changing the mailing behavior of WP.

Anyway that error could not be related directly with the mailing process (PHP is not the best for tracing errors). Could be your provide does not allow you to send email.
Disable the backup plugin and try again, many we can see a different error.You can use the facebook subscription link you find on facebook admin page, and integrate it on subscription page (see the subscription configuration panel) or in a widget. Hi, latest version has not introduced something particular, but with long newsletter I noted outlook 365 is “cutting” the email, while if I open it using the option “see in a browser” it shows perfectly.
Actually we added a container to control the background, but it should not create such kind of issues.

Hi, but what is growing in the database? If you send a newsletter the newsletter_sent table is filled in with data for tracking purposes. We do not store other transients (or anyway a little number of them).
Maybe your customer has an increased number fo subscribers?

Hi, the SMTP interface is implemented in a provided library by WP. So, if you specify tls as protocol that library should use the better one.
As alternative, install an SMTP plugin which may use a different library.

No SMTP is required if your hosting provider provides a mail service for your blog (usually they do). About limits you should ask your provider. The sender email address can be configured on Newsletter main settings.

Hi guys, I’m sorry if you’re experiencing those subscription spam problems. I would recap how we protect the blog from spam subscriptions and how they try to use the subscription to spam.
First, they subscribe using as first name or last name an URL or something which resemble an URL (word[dot]word[dot][word). Email clients to help people automatically transform those texts which ARE NOT link in our email in active links.
So, first of all, you should remove the {name} and {surname} tags from your confirmation and welcome emails. Anyway, subscription are not accepted when the first name or last name contains “http://”. Of course the security option “antibot” should be enabled. Almost surely in next release we made those checks required.
After those checks we do an antiflood check to avoid multiple subscriptions from the same IP address. Then we send all subscription data to akismet to have a spam rating.
Again, all those check are applied if the security panel has the antibot option active (and yes, you’re right, the wording needs absolutely to be reviewed!).
The subscription is accepted only if it is and HTTP POST and there is an intermediate hidden form with a nonce.
So, to help us in fighting those spammer, update to the latest Newsletter version, check the security panel settings and look at the spam subscriptions: the should be very limited.
We’re even introducing a subscription block on names pattern like the one above (word[dot]word[dot]word).

Hi, with GMAIL the best option is to install an SMTP plugin which support oauth2 authentication, you can find a couplein the wp repo. Then Newsletter will use that plugin and you can disable the SMTP feature of Newsletter.

Hi, you should create a custom block which acts like the standard posts block but generates only a list. Then the posts blocks should be changed to have a unique ID for each post.
A note: the anchor does not work on many email clients or at least we noted unwanted behavior in many online and offline clients. Hence the index could create a bad use experience.

Hi, we do not set explicitly any permission on file system, we always use standard WP function to create folders. Hence I don’t know why you’re experiencing that strange behavior.
I’ll check the /./ folder, again it’s not something we add, we use the standard resize function of WP. We cannot use the original image in a newsletter, otherwise it would be totally scrambled (not all email client support the resize or the CSS media queries). Some time we need to crop them as well. Anyway thumbnails should be created in a standard way inside the wp uploads folder… I’ll try to check what could be wrong.

Hi, it’s not easy to find an answer. They could be fake subscription or the activation email is not correctly delivered or the subscribers finally forget to confirm.
I possible send them something interesting in the welcome email and let them know, so they probably take the full path till the confirmation.

Hi, the connection failed could be a problem of your provider blocking it. Try to open a ticket. You can even try to use an SMTP plugin just to see if something changes, but our SMTP implementation is standard, it should work.

Which version of Outlook are you using? Desktop? Mobile?
Two possibilities: or the wp-cron.php is generating an error (try to call it with a browser) or the external cron call is blocked (even if you changed the file name).
How did you setup the external trigger?
Uhm, that is odd since on backend we load only what is needed and in our admin pages. It sounds like if something is running and is reaching a timeout.
I’ll check the code to see if in the startup something is ran which should not.

Hi, looking at the error code, the smtp plugin you’re using has not the correct credentials. You should be sure the smtp plugin is able to send email, otherwise even Newsletter is blocked.

Hi, the custom theme is the most immediate option. But you can even register a custom composer block (we have not published the specifications on how the block should behave to interact with automated, but if you look into the “posts” block it should be easy to find it out.
Last alternative is to ask us to implement more controls on the custom block… ideas are always welcomed!

BTW the theme preview is simply a generic preview of what the theme could generate. The newsletter preview is what it would be included in the newsletter IF it is generated in that moment (since the generated newsletter depends on the new content).
If there is new content and the filter selection on automated should get it out but it doesn’t happen, there could be a bug or a problem into the theme.
Which version of automated are you using? Version 4.4.2? Which theme are you using? The default one or a custom one? Please note: the “theme” is not the blog theme, but the automated newsletter theme.

Hi, the 1×1 image is the tracking image. The “data” block is not by us, it means something (or in the blog or in the mail server) is transforming the linked image to an embedded one. BUT that kind of embedding, as far as I know, is not well support by email client.

Hi, it seems you have issues with WP scheduler which is not running properly. This even, nxs_hourly_event, is not by Newsletter but that means the scheduler is not triggered.

Hi, the wp integration acts ONLY on standard registration page of wp. It anyway intercepts the creation of a new user so if you set the addon to subscribe every new registered user it should work (only when the customer is registering not for guest checkouts).
The woocommerce addon, instead, interacts even with the registration form of woocommerce.

Hi, a newsletter created as a single entity has no relation with previous newsletter so it will include the number of posts you set on configuration or block configuration. Automated is an addon which generates autonomously newsletter using a scheduled plan and the content available.
Hi, links inside an email are just links, i don’t know why you have such a message. Never seen a warning like that and I don’t know how to reproduce it. Have you a gmail extension active, a popup blocker, a chrome extension or like?

The only thing I can imagine is to have as many channels as many are the regions you have and create the relative lists so the user can choose what receive. Then you need to configure a theme for each channel to extract the correct news, maybe you need to code a special theme for that.
