High percentage of unconfirmed subscribers – why?

Hi everyone! I’m using this plugin for a long time already (thanx, Stefano!), but recently I noticed a very high percentage of subscribers that signed up but never confirmed their subscription. More than 90 %, in fact… People also told me that unsubscription and confirmation links in emails don’t work – but they do just fine when I test the process. What might be the reason for this?

Hi, it’s not easy to find an answer. They could be fake subscription or the activation email is not correctly delivered or the subscribers finally forget to confirm.

I possible send them something interesting in the welcome email and let them know, so they probably take the full path till the confirmation.
