Subscription.php missing after plugin update.

After latest update of NewsLetter plugin our site went down.
I had to use backdoor link to open maintenance. After deactivation of the NewsLetter plugin, the site is working again.

I try to activate the plugin and get:
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Warning: require_once(/home/*******/public_html/wp-content/plugins/newsletter/subscription/subscription.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/*******/public_html/wp-content/plugins/newsletter/plugin.php on line 1339”

Line 1339 is:
require_once NEWSLETTER_DIR . ‘/subscription/subscription.php’; This directory is missing.
The directory is missing.

If I delete the plugin and reinstall will all my contacts remain?

Nothing is lost if you reinstall, and yes you need absolutely to reinstall. Check the disk space or install via FTP.

What can be done if the plugin will not reinstall because the error message says: “Installation failed: Destination folder already exists.”?
