Hi, you should see the download option in your account page in this site (where there is even the free license code.
April 28, 2020 at 8:27 pm in reply to: custom coded forms don’t function landing page not found #250994StefanoKeymasterHi, you have an error in your plugin “php compatibility checked” I don’t know the reason but it seems not associated with our plugin, you should try to contact the authors of that plugin to better understand what is happening.
StefanoKeymasterit means to send a single email it is taking 8 seconds. You need to contact your provider to check what’s going on. Usually sending an email should take no more than tenths of second.
StefanoKeymasterUse our wp registration integration addon (it’s free).
StefanoKeymasterHi, check if you have a SMTP or email custom plugin in your blog, that is something for sure triggered by a third party with a pluggable function.
April 24, 2020 at 3:36 pm in reply to: Last test failed with error “Function create_function() is deprecated” #250705StefanoKeymasterHi, we do not use “create_function”, probably is from a third party plugin interception the wp mailing.
StefanoKeymasterYou cannot correct them, it is reporting two emails has (probably) not be sent. The reports addon lists those addresses but usually it is not to be considered a problem if some contact cannot be reached or if the mail server has refused to send some emails. Of course if the percentages of error is important, it is required to understand what’s happening.
You can even enable the logger on main setting to have information reported on log files.
StefanoKeymasterHi, maybe those articles can be of help:
https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/reasking-subscription-confirmation-to-your-subscribers
https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/gdpr-getting-consent-for-imported-subscribersBye, Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterThe plugin does not send email when you publish new articles, but you can install the automated addon to schedule automatic email generation.
We’re at good point in developing a new addon to create a newsletter on the fly while editing a specific post as well.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, shown in that page? Nothing? A standard form?
StefanoKeymasterHi, that is weird. Are you sure you clicked on the confirmation of the second email and not the first one? Because the personal token changes after the first cancellation.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterTry to install this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/ and connect your wordpress with the mail service on gsuite. I don’t know the details, check the plugin page.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, if you have a premium plan, please open a ticket in the support area, thank you.
StefanoKeymasterHi, if you’re using our woocommerce addon, please open a ticket in our support area. Thank you, Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterthat sounds like a conflict with another plugin since the editor is not loading. An everytime is due to a plugin injecting something in our pages.
Please write me private at stefano[at]thenewsletterplugin.com to setup a debug session.Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterThank you very much, just fixed and released!
StefanoKeymasterHi, it’s not clear to me what is the “follow the click option”. Could you share a screenshot?
StefanoKeymasterHi, the problem could be the List-unsubscribe header which is sometime blocked. We need to ad an exception for that header when using office 365.
If you can modify the PHP code of the plugin for a test, on line 777 of plugin.php, latest version of newsletter, change List-Unsubscribe to X-List-Unsubscribe
Let me know, Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, we have a fix on the way. Are you looking at the stats of an autoresponder newsletter or a standard newsletter?
April 5, 2020 at 6:32 pm in reply to: FAILED (SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troub #249321StefanoKeymasterHi, where di you make the test? From the status panel?
StefanoKeymasterHi, be sure the SMTP is active after you test it. Can you run a test from the status panel and see what is reported?
April 2, 2020 at 12:15 pm in reply to: Newsletter “opens” number issue – emails counted as open but they are not #249186StefanoKeymasterHi, that could happen if the mail client loads the tracking image even if the email has not been opened. I don’t think mailjet does that, but we could check.
Some antivirus does that, installed in the client machine or in the mail server.Stefano.
April 2, 2020 at 11:55 am in reply to: How to customize confirmation mail “Newsletter subscription” sent to admin? #249184StefanoKeymasterHi, you can use lists to collect acceptances, but they cannot be made mandatory. If you have two mandatory acceptances, you can “merge” them in the single privacy mandatory checkbox. The optional one can be a list, so you can segment the subscribers as well.
There is no way to change the admin email. You can see all subscribers with detailed data in the specific admin page.
Stefano.
April 1, 2020 at 6:26 pm in reply to: SMTP not working anymore after update from ver. 6.5.7 to ver. 6.5.8 #249164StefanoKeymasterCiao, per quanto vedo dalle nostre modifiche non ci sono cambiamenti nella gestione dell’SMTP tra la 6.5.7 e la 6.5.8. L’unica cosa è fare del debug. Se mi scrivi privatamente a stefano [at] thenewsletterplugin.com vediamo cosa possiamo fare.
Ciao, Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, are you looking to save that data in the newsletter database or in a generic contact history? We have an integration to generate subscriptions from cf7 (but not storing all kind of collected data), while there are plugin which integrate with cf7 to create a database with all collected contact for later export and consultation.
StefanoKeymasterHi, that “wp_db_temp_dir” is from another plugin which is modifying the standard wp_mail() function. Try to disable other plugin or to understand which plugin is changing the mailing behavior of WP.
For example a similar error is reported here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/undefined-index-wp_db_temp_dir/
Anyway that error could not be related directly with the mailing process (PHP is not the best for tracing errors). Could be your provide does not allow you to send email.
Disable the backup plugin and try again, many we can see a different error.StefanoKeymasterHi, where did you see that error?
March 25, 2020 at 6:18 pm in reply to: Problema invio conferma mail di registrazione Campionigratuiti.eu #248840StefanoKeymasterIl provider blocca la connessione all’smtp, dovete chiedere di sbloccarla.
StefanoKeymasterYou can use the facebook subscription link you find on facebook admin page, and integrate it on subscription page (see the subscription configuration panel) or in a widget. You can even use the shortcodes prvided by the facebook addon
StefanoKeymasterHi, bluehost is blocking the connection, ask the to unlock it.
StefanoKeymasterHi the link reported in only an example, where are you see the error?
StefanoKeymasterHi, the link in a newsletter are not changed overtime, you should check with someone expert on sharepoint.
Stefano-
StefanoKeymasterNothing is lost if you reinstall, and yes you need absolutely to reinstall. Check the disk space or install via FTP.
StefanoKeymasterHi, the alert reported by Newsletter is derived from interbal WP status, so even if the provider says everything is working, the internal stats say no.
Have you setup with your provider an external trigger?
Stefano.
March 17, 2020 at 8:45 pm in reply to: Reply to: Featured Images not showing in Automated Newsletters #248450StefanoKeymasterHi Christine, write to me privately at stefano [at] thenewsletterplugin.com ’cause I have no way to find out where the problem is, we can setup a debug session.
tnx
StefanoKeymaster(of course I’ve just tested the posts block on my blog)
StefanoKeymasterHi, are you sure the posts has a featured image associated? Have installed/updated plugins which interacted with the standard featured image?
StefanoKeymasterif you have not notices about the cron system in the admin area, and the status anel is not reporting errors, try to change the speed in the main settings.
StefanoKeymasterhow, share a screenshot of you page, from the admin point of view, with the shortcode. probably it is not written in the right way.
tnx
StefanoKeymasterYou canuse the lists, checkout the lists configuration panel.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterYou can use the mewssage template page to configure it.
StefanoKeymasterHi only the social media icon or all images?
You could have a block for images stored inside the wp-content/plugins path.Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, latest version has not introduced something particular, but with long newsletter I noted outlook 365 is “cutting” the email, while if I open it using the option “see in a browser” it shows perfectly.
Actually we added a container to control the background, but it should not create such kind of issues.
I’m checking that problem.
StefanoKeymasterHi, but what is growing in the database? If you send a newsletter the newsletter_sent table is filled in with data for tracking purposes. We do not store other transients (or anyway a little number of them).
Maybe your customer has an increased number fo subscribers?
StefanoKeymasterHi, there should be only ONE transient with that json, which is used to check the addons versions. Are you finding more than one transient with the same name?
StefanoKeymasterOur CF7 integration addon should do exactly that.
StefanoKeymasterHi premium support is for member with a paid license. You can ask your questions here.
StefanoKeymasterHi, the SMTP interface is implemented in a provided library by WP. So, if you specify tls as protocol that library should use the better one.
As alternative, install an SMTP plugin which may use a different library.
Let me know.
StefanoKeymasterNo SMTP is required if your hosting provider provides a mail service for your blog (usually they do). About limits you should ask your provider. The sender email address can be configured on Newsletter main settings.
Stefano.
February 25, 2020 at 1:00 pm in reply to: Image block isn’t working in composer if you add an URL. #247504StefanoKeymasterHi, you’re right, the faulty merge created problem in the posts and image block.
Already fixed for the coming release.Adding an url to the image (even using the #) is a temporary workaround.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, you should use the autoresponder addon.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterChe il provider ti blocca gli accessi.
February 13, 2020 at 2:47 pm in reply to: The automatic newsletter arrives very late in the afternoon. #247026StefanoKeymasterif you have not cron warnings in the status panel, could be a problem of OVH.
February 12, 2020 at 4:56 pm in reply to: WP User Email Update Not Propagating to Newsletter Subscriber #246974StefanoKeymasterWhen sending the user email should be used. Propagating is not immediate, even if we should implement it, because the email address is unique in the subscribers table and the new email con conflict with a second subscription.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterProbably a javascript not working in the site. Can you share the site address?
February 11, 2020 at 12:10 pm in reply to: The export function does not export all subscribers #246727StefanoKeymasterHi, check if you have some kind of filter set in the targeting of your newsletter, there is no reason for the plugin to limit the number of targeted subscribers.
February 11, 2020 at 12:09 pm in reply to: Guidance to create a sign up form for freebie ebook download #246726StefanoKeymasterPut the link on the welcome page, you can configure in the subscription settings panel.
Stefano.
February 7, 2020 at 12:01 pm in reply to: Your message contains more than one DKIM signature. #246621StefanoKeymasterHi we do not add dkim signatures, probably is from your provider. Try to ask them.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, you should check if you added filter in the newsletter you’re sending and to have at least some confirmed subscribers.
StefanoKeymasterHi, if sometime it works and sometime not you should ask the provider which provides the email delivery subsystem.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterThat is a know bug even if rarely triggered by people (since they usually does not open two newsletter creation page at the same time). On Monday we release a new version to manage the themes in different ways (they can be registered by WP themes or plugins) and that should save even that bug.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, actually not, but if the have a SMTP service you can use it to send emails from Newsletter.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, when the plugin call the mailing system, if it accepts the mail we mark it as sent, since there are no way to know if they’re blocked, dropped or like.
If a test from the status panel works but a test newsletter not, you should ask the provider about spam filters.
Stefano.
January 30, 2020 at 11:26 am in reply to: couple of questions regarding system emails & resign/join screens #246325StefanoKeymasterOn admin pages of Newsletter you can change almost everything. Check out the subscription configuration page, the profile page, the unsubscription page and so on.
Thank you.
StefanoKeymasterHi, it’s not clear which service you want to cancel. Have you bought a license and want a refund? If you have a license, you can simply contact as using the support service and opening a ticket.
Thank you.
January 29, 2020 at 8:29 am in reply to: Why is my plugin saying my license expires in 1 year. #246239StefanoKeymasterThe license is about support and updates and yes, those services expire after one year. Downloaded addons continue to work.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterMaybe the calculated field form for Woocommerce?
StefanoKeymasterHi, that transient (cff_p_1372278263153101372278263153104mede) is for sure not from Newsletter plugin, since we user in the name “newsletter” for each options table entry (being it a transient or an option).
Does cff remember you a plugin name?
January 27, 2020 at 2:46 pm in reply to: Subscribing via subscription form also adds hidden lists besides default list #246177StefanoKeymasterHi, can you share a screenshot of the lists configuration and mark which are added even if not active?
StefanoKeymasterHave you tried to use the shortcode [ newsletter_form ]?
StefanoKeymasterHi, can you address me to the official page of that plugin?
StefanoKeymasterHi, there is nothing spacial to do, you probably need to configure the SMTP setting of Newsletter with the parameter godaddy gave you and ask them if your site can connect to their smtp server.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, have you setup a wp-cron.php call as expl, ained in our documentation? Probably the cron is not triggered for whatever reason (for example the domain cannot be resolved by the hosting server).
Stefano.
January 12, 2020 at 10:38 am in reply to: The newsletter-subscription page of a user shows management form twice #245672StefanoKeymastergo to the profile config page, from the Newsletter top menu and check if there is a double {profile_form} tag in the text.
StefanoKeymasterHi, the plugin can store as many subscriber as you want, state you have no limit on your hosting plan on the database. The number of email you can send depends on limits of your provider, you should ask them.
Stefano.
January 9, 2020 at 8:25 pm in reply to: confirmation_url parameter is not working with double opt-in #245617StefanoKeymasterHi, I’ve tested on my blog with your form and I’m correctly redirected to the confirmation url page.
January 9, 2020 at 7:56 pm in reply to: confirmation_url parameter is not working with double opt-in #245615StefanoKeymasterHi, can you address me to the website with the form to check the generated html?
Thank you, Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, thank you for reporting that error, I’m reviewing it to fix it.
StefanoKeymasterHi, if you want to use the gmail smtp I can suggest to use an smtp plugin which uses the oauth 2. For example Post SMTP or wp mail smtp.
January 8, 2020 at 9:25 am in reply to: Unsubscribe, Profile Page, Subscribe error etc. not working #245554StefanoKeymasterHi, if the plugin does not see anymore the “get” variables, could be a server configuration or a plugin removing them. For example an optimizer or a cache. Could you check if you have one of those plugin and could you try to disable them?
The newsletter dedicated page (/newsletter in you case) contains only the [ newsletter ] shortcode?
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterUhm, that is usually a PHP fatal error. Have you access to your hosting error logs?
December 31, 2019 at 11:36 am in reply to: Test email failure – “Module ‘SourceGuardian’ already loaded” #245364StefanoKeymasterHi it seems a php error not related to Newsletter (where is it shown? In a newsletter admin page?). Try to contact the provider and check which php version are you running and if it is configured correctly.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, there is no support right now for the translations on company profile panel, but you’re right, they should. I’ve just adding it the improvements list.
December 29, 2019 at 3:06 pm in reply to: No Sync between Purchases and List on WooCommerce extension #245316StefanoKeymasterhi, for woocommerce add on please open a ticket. Probably the customer needs to be imported.
StefanoKeymasterChange the welcome page content on subscription configuration.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi which version of Newsletter plugin are you running?
StefanoKeymasterHi, there’re not such kind of “shortcodes”. You can make your customer “editor” to use dome of the functionalities of the plugin.
Stefano.
December 27, 2019 at 6:24 pm in reply to: Urgent: Possible bug in confirmation_url parameter #245276StefanoKeymasterIs the double opt in active in subscription configuration page?
StefanoKeymasterNo to the form, but on security panel you can enable a simple captcha.
December 27, 2019 at 2:13 pm in reply to: tag is replaced with one of confirmation, welcome or goodbye messages –> #245253StefanoKeymasterHi, check the template for messages and remove the part betwee the html comment start and end signs (or reset the message template with the reset button.
StefanoKeymasterLet me know which is the real website to make a test.
StefanoKeymasterHi, ask your provider to check is your server is now blacklisted and if they correctly setup they email configuration (for example the SPF record).
Stefano.
December 18, 2019 at 11:55 am in reply to: Test email succeeds but I cannot receive subscription confirmation emails #245032StefanoKeymasterHi, try to not use anymore the SMTP. Go daddy is not exactly reliable about email sending, open them a ticket and ask which is the better way to send email from your hosting plan.
Let me know, Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, our extended blocks addon has support for generic post types. Specialized post types by some plugin (like woocommerce of events manager) are supported by other addons.
StefanoKeymasterNo, there is still not this possibility. You can keep an email as unsent as use it as template by now.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, actually not.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, that background is not from our plugin probably it is the theme, you should ask the theme author.
Stefano.
December 18, 2019 at 10:15 am in reply to: Modifying Name of Existing List Does Not Change Name Displayed In List Selector #245023StefanoKeymasterHi, if you have a multilanguage plugin, the name shown in the admin side is the main neutral name.
Stefano.
December 18, 2019 at 10:13 am in reply to: Is there a way to find the id of the newsletter while composing letter #245022StefanoKeymasterYou can use the tag {email_id}
December 18, 2019 at 10:12 am in reply to: Urls and tags not working in the received newsletters #245021StefanoKeymasterHi, check if your site is configured to use relative url, for example forcing the wp URLs in the wp-config.php file. Newsletter needs the absolute urls.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, the speed should be set asking before the max capability your provider has enabled for you. I would set 450 emails per hour, not more and ask the provider if they have a daily limit.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, you get “success” when you run a test from the status panel, ask the provider if there are blocks on outgoing emails.
Stefano.
December 18, 2019 at 9:36 am in reply to: Benefit of wp user ID in newsletter subscriber info #245017StefanoKeymasterIf the WP-ID is there, Newsletter will get user related info from the user (email, name, …) and you can even address the newsletter targeting only subscribers which are connected to a wp user.
Stefano.
December 18, 2019 at 8:30 am in reply to: error “disk_free_space(): Value too large for defined data type” #245003StefanoKeymasterHi, it is not related to Newsletter, try to ask the provider to check it.
Thank you, Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, we have a professional addon which integrates with wp forms. You cannot add shorcodes with generated a second form inside the main wp-forms form.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, it is available in the wp.org repository.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, which theme are you using to create a newsletter? The default theme? Do you see an error? Or can you find an error on the error logs?
If you use a custom theme, you should add it to a special folder, please refer to the documentation, otherwise WP will delete it on every update.Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterUhm, that is a variable containing the cron stasts, probably it has not been setup correctly. Try to wait a but. Meanwhile I’ll check the problem.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterNo, Mailgun integration already manage bounces.
StefanoKeymasterHi, that is not from us. You have a plugin or something else intercepting the email text and changing it. Maybe even during the newsletter creation. We link images directly.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, what do you means with “registrars”? WP users? If they’re wp users you need the free addons “wp users integration” to import them as subscribers.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, if your customer are even wp users (it depends if you use or not the gust checkout), you can use the wp users integration addon (free) to import all users.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, opens are tracked using and embedded image. Hence or gmail has not loaded that image or the tracking was disabled. If you add test@thenewsletterplugin.com address in your subscriber list ans send us a newsletter we can check.
Stefano.
November 26, 2019 at 2:27 pm in reply to: Spammers using the newsletter plugin widget for spam subscriptions #244001StefanoKeymasterHi guys, I’m sorry if you’re experiencing those subscription spam problems. I would recap how we protect the blog from spam subscriptions and how they try to use the subscription to spam.
First, they subscribe using as first name or last name an URL or something which resemble an URL (word[dot]word[dot][word). Email clients to help people automatically transform those texts which ARE NOT link in our email in active links.
So, first of all, you should remove the {name} and {surname} tags from your confirmation and welcome emails. Anyway, subscription are not accepted when the first name or last name contains “http://”. Of course the security option “antibot” should be enabled. Almost surely in next release we made those checks required.
After those checks we do an antiflood check to avoid multiple subscriptions from the same IP address. Then we send all subscription data to akismet to have a spam rating.
Again, all those check are applied if the security panel has the antibot option active (and yes, you’re right, the wording needs absolutely to be reviewed!).
The subscription is accepted only if it is and HTTP POST and there is an intermediate hidden form with a nonce.
So, to help us in fighting those spammer, update to the latest Newsletter version, check the security panel settings and look at the spam subscriptions: the should be very limited.
We’re even introducing a subscription block on names pattern like the one above (word[dot]word[dot]word).
Thank you for your collaboration, Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, you can use the welcome email.
Regards, Stefano.
November 20, 2019 at 8:09 am in reply to: SMTP mail not working in wordpress under Hostgator #243752StefanoKeymasterHi, with GMAIL the best option is to install an SMTP plugin which support oauth2 authentication, you can find a couplein the wp repo. Then Newsletter will use that plugin and you can disable the SMTP feature of Newsletter.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, ask your provider if you can make SMTP connections from your website and which is the correct SMTP server address.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, did you run a test from the status panel to see if emails are generally sent?
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, you should create a custom block which acts like the standard posts block but generates only a list. Then the posts blocks should be changed to have a unique ID for each post.
A note: the anchor does not work on many email clients or at least we noted unwanted behavior in many online and offline clients. Hence the index could create a bad use experience.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, it has not been replaced: where di you fund it? On a preview email?
StefanoKeymasterCheck the subscription configuration page for “multiple subscriptions”.
Stefano.
November 4, 2019 at 10:40 am in reply to: How to change/add/remove messages inside of e-mail box forms #242999StefanoKeymasterBTW, for priority support, open a ticket, please.
Stefano.
November 4, 2019 at 10:40 am in reply to: How to change/add/remove messages inside of e-mail box forms #242998StefanoKeymasterHi, on plugin admin pages you can set all kind of messages, see the subscription configuration and the form configuration. But it’s not clear which is your problem… which kind of messages are messed up?
StefanoKeymasterHi, see the shortcodes {unsubscription_url} and {unsubscription_confirm_url}. The latter cancels the subscription directly.
Stefano.
November 4, 2019 at 10:33 am in reply to: Custom Posts not getting picked up in Automated newsletter #242994StefanoKeymasterHi, thank you for reporting, i’ll check it. Please, for addons support open a ticket to have the right tech guys assigned to your quickly. Thank you, Stefano.
November 4, 2019 at 10:31 am in reply to: New version – having issues with photo linking and folder permissions #242992StefanoKeymasterHi, we do not set explicitly any permission on file system, we always use standard WP function to create folders. Hence I don’t know why you’re experiencing that strange behavior.
I’ll check the /./ folder, again it’s not something we add, we use the standard resize function of WP. We cannot use the original image in a newsletter, otherwise it would be totally scrambled (not all email client support the resize or the CSS media queries). Some time we need to crop them as well. Anyway thumbnails should be created in a standard way inside the wp uploads folder… I’ll try to check what could be wrong.
Stefano.
October 29, 2019 at 1:25 pm in reply to: Prevent/block specific user or a list from unsubscribing #242743StefanoKeymasterActually not, there is no way to block the cancellation.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterIf you have a paid license, you can get it from your account page in this site or directly from the Newsletter addons page (in this case you need to firstly install our addons manager).
Stefano.
October 29, 2019 at 8:08 am in reply to: Last test failed with error "Undefined index: item_name". #242724StefanoKeymasterHi, item name does not sound to be something of Newsletter. Have you an SMTP plugin installed?
StefanoKeymasterHi, can you explain better your issue? Where that code is not more working?
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, the reports addon lets you to retarget the subscribers from the single newsletter stats.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, can you help me to better understand? Do you use the sendgrid addons? And can you show me an example of that unsubscription link?
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, we never use the admin email. Have you an SMTP plugin installed which changes the sender?
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, but are you using our integration? Would you be so kind to open a support ticket so a tech can take it in charge?
Thank you.
StefanoKeymasterHi, it’s not easy to find an answer. They could be fake subscription or the activation email is not correctly delivered or the subscribers finally forget to confirm.
I possible send them something interesting in the welcome email and let them know, so they probably take the full path till the confirmation.
Stefano.
October 23, 2019 at 3:01 pm in reply to: How to change/add/remove messages inside of e-mail box forms #242371StefanoKeymasterHi, did you check the form fields configuration page of Newsletter?
October 23, 2019 at 11:53 am in reply to: Links with tracking starts with http://127.0.0.1/?nltr=…. #242354StefanoKeymasterHi, are you sure you have not a test environment in your PC which is sending the newsletter?
October 22, 2019 at 12:41 pm in reply to: A bunch of Spam Subscriptions – How can I use a Captcha or ReCAPTCHA #242264StefanoKeymasterHi, if they use a common domain for the addresses, filter it on the security configuration panel.
October 22, 2019 at 12:40 pm in reply to: Spammers using the newsletter plugin widget for spam subscriptions #242263StefanoKeymasterHi, try to enable the captcha on security page and/or filter by ip or by domain name if they are using the same email address domain.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterSomething reported in the status page? Which is your site?
StefanoKeymasterHi, check out our documentation here https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/newsletter-delivery-engine
StefanoKeymasterThe question is not clear, can you explain me better what you need to accomplish?
Thank you very much, Stefano.
October 18, 2019 at 8:02 am in reply to: Newsletters are not being sent … Individual messages/tests are OK! #242060StefanoKeymasterHi, is the automated channel was disabled BUT a newsletter has already been generated, it continues going out.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, the connection failed could be a problem of your provider blocking it. Try to open a ticket. You can even try to use an SMTP plugin just to see if something changes, but our SMTP implementation is standard, it should work.
The connection failed sounds to be a network problem.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, you should create a custom block with your own icons, or an html block.
Bye, Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterNo problem, have a nice day!
StefanoKeymasterHi, smtp connect failed means the smtp values are not working but we do not changed the SMTP integration. Can you check the SMTP settings? Are you using even an SMTP plugin?
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterYou should use an SMTP (ask your provider for that, if they provide even the mail service). Or use and external email delivery service (like sendgrid, amazon ses, mailgun, …).
The problem is usually the server which hosts your site which is not considered reliable.Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi the subscription text can be set on out subscription configuration panel… if the theme is using that value. Which theme are you using with embedded Newsletter?
Thank you, Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterCan you share a screenshot or send it to me stefano[at]thenewsletterplugin.com?
Which version of Outlook are you using? Desktop? Mobile?
StefanoKeymasterDid you check the documentation on this site? There are few options you can try.
Stefano.
October 14, 2019 at 6:08 pm in reply to: Newsletters are not being sent … Individual messages/tests are OK! #241879StefanoKeymasterTwo possibilities: or the wp-cron.php is generating an error (try to call it with a browser) or the external cron call is blocked (even if you changed the file name).
How did you setup the external trigger?
StefanoKeymasterUhm, that is odd since on backend we load only what is needed and in our admin pages. It sounds like if something is running and is reaching a timeout.
I’ll check the code to see if in the startup something is ran which should not.
StefanoKeymasterHi, that should not happen. Can you enable the debug log level on main settings, add test@thenewsletterplugin.com as a subscriber (so if we receive the newsletter we can check togheter the headers)?
Could you even contact me privately to exchange the logs at stefano@thenewsletterplugin.com?
Thank you.
StefanoKeymasterHi, the authentication attempt from your smtp plugin is not working, you should check the configuration of that plugin.
The SERVER: EHLO http://www.mywebsite.it line is a bit strange.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, no, it is not possible.
Stefano.
October 10, 2019 at 8:31 am in reply to: Not receiving notification anymore when a new subscriber successfully registered #241722StefanoKeymasterHi, version 6.3.2 should solve the problem. If the issue is still there, can you check on the status page which mailer is reported?
Thank you, Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, looking at the error code, the smtp plugin you’re using has not the correct credentials. You should be sure the smtp plugin is able to send email, otherwise even Newsletter is blocked.
Stefano.
September 26, 2019 at 8:13 am in reply to: Possible to customize the code behind new automated channel (with composer) ? #239001StefanoKeymasterHi, the custom theme is the most immediate option. But you can even register a custom composer block (we have not published the specifications on how the block should behave to interact with automated, but if you look into the “posts” block it should be easy to find it out.
Last alternative is to ask us to implement more controls on the custom block… ideas are always welcomed!

September 26, 2019 at 8:11 am in reply to: Automated Newsletter Plugin – Unable to generate previews #238998StefanoKeymasterHi, for Automated addon, please open a support ticket.
BTW the theme preview is simply a generic preview of what the theme could generate. The newsletter preview is what it would be included in the newsletter IF it is generated in that moment (since the generated newsletter depends on the new content).
If there is new content and the filter selection on automated should get it out but it doesn’t happen, there could be a bug or a problem into the theme.
Which version of automated are you using? Version 4.4.2? Which theme are you using? The default one or a custom one? Please note: the “theme” is not the blog theme, but the automated newsletter theme.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, the “students_emails” attribute is the list of people which received the email?
Anyway you should query and build a serializable structure (array of arrays or objects) getting all email from wp_newsletter_emails table and for students using the sent table.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, we have not such an option, at least not explicitly coded. You should code it on your own, using the Newsletter PHP Api (you can find the documentation on this site).
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, the version you have could be the free one and it is still working. So you can use it without upgrading to a paid account.
Stefano.
September 25, 2019 at 7:48 am in reply to: newsletter_lock usage and how to lock for a specific list #238242StefanoKeymasterHi, the system uses a token stored in a cookie which identifies the subscriber. If it is valid the content is unlocked. There is no per list option or like.
When a user follow a tracked link or confirms the subscription to cookie is set.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, under subscribers/profile config panel, you should be able to set a different url for the profile page. In that page you should add the [newsletter_profile] shortcode.
Stefano.
September 24, 2019 at 9:33 pm in reply to: imported subscribers but feed by mail not enabled #237944StefanoKeymasterHi, feed by mail is no more supported, but you can ask someone to run a query to set the feed by mail to all subscribers:
update wp_newsletter set feed=1 where feed=0;
September 24, 2019 at 11:18 am in reply to: Lead Extensions 1.1.4, WPForms 1.0.2 & Ninja Forms 1.0.3 plugins ALL 3 fail #237667StefanoKeymasterHi, have you a license set on main settings?
September 23, 2019 at 5:08 pm in reply to: Newsletter – Events Manager Integration Update Fails #237143StefanoKeymasterHi, Event manager integration is a premium addon, have you a valid license?
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, the 1×1 image is the tracking image. The “data” block is not by us, it means something (or in the blog or in the mail server) is transforming the linked image to an embedded one. BUT that kind of embedding, as far as I know, is not well support by email client.
Have you a plugin which manipulate the email sent from your blog?
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, in the account page? You can use the one in the premium page, meanwhile I’ll check the problem.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterIf no errors are returned, please contact your provider and ask a check to their mailing system.
Stefano.
September 15, 2019 at 4:23 pm in reply to: Website changes failed to take effect because of newsletter #232080StefanoKeymasterHi, it seems you have issues with WP scheduler which is not running properly. This even, nxs_hourly_event, is not by Newsletter but that means the scheduler is not triggered.
You can change the WP setup and/or use an external trigger, see this page: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/newsletter-delivery-engine
Probably even Newsletter is showing a notice in the admin side of the blog and/or in the status panel.
There could be even an error in the cron, to check it we need to know the blog address.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, no all those actions are available but on subscriber management panel you can find some of them.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterUhm, that sequence of BR tags is rather strange. Can you share a screenshot? If you drag a block, that space stays there?
Stefano.
September 12, 2019 at 1:55 pm in reply to: WP User Integration add-on not working with WooCommerce Registration form #230159StefanoKeymasterHi, the wp integration acts ONLY on standard registration page of wp. It anyway intercepts the creation of a new user so if you set the addon to subscribe every new registered user it should work (only when the customer is registering not for guest checkouts).
The woocommerce addon, instead, interacts even with the registration form of woocommerce.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterUhm… yes we check if a user is an administrator OR has one of the roles listed in the main settings. Can you give yourself the administrator role as well?
Stefano.
ps: version 6.2.0 has not changes in the access controlStefanoKeymasterHi, check if with Newsletter 6.2.0 the issue is solved. Alternatively you can remove it and reinstall it, the configuration won’t be lost.
StefanoKeymasterHi, check if the double quotes are the regular ones, since from your code they seems not (but could be a forum problem).
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, translations are provided by the community at translate.wordpress.org. The french one should be there and downloaded automatically.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, did you created the newsletter using the raw html template so you can just insert freely your code?
i can see in your code, but it is not related to your issue, you’re linking a boostrap css: that is not allowed on newsletters, usually it doesn’t work.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi a sample of your csv file?
StefanoKeymasterHi, the server upgrade this week created some issue, we’re solving them.
The automated is part of our premium license, with all other addons, hence you can get the license from the automated page or from the premium page, it doesn’t matter.
Thank you, Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, a newsletter created as a single entity has no relation with previous newsletter so it will include the number of posts you set on configuration or block configuration. Automated is an addon which generates autonomously newsletter using a scheduled plan and the content available.
September 6, 2019 at 9:11 am in reply to: pop-up warning in gmail on newsletter confimation links #225925StefanoKeymasterHi, links inside an email are just links, i don’t know why you have such a message. Never seen a warning like that and I don’t know how to reproduce it. Have you a gmail extension active, a popup blocker, a chrome extension or like?
When you resubscribe, what is happening? Have you enabled the repeated subscription on subscription config panel?
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi run test from the status panel and check if there are warnings on that panel. Ask the provider about their mailing service, if there are limits and/or blocks.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, editors cannot access all pages, for example the main setting page is not allowed to editors. Which pages are you looking to open to editors?
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterCheck on status panel IF the wp_content_url is set to a relative uri and not a full uri. Newsletters require to have images generated by WP with a full url.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterPlease check this documentation page: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/newsletter-delivery-engine
September 2, 2019 at 8:59 am in reply to: Subscribers to choose which list/s to subscribe to, but 1 list is compulsory #223011StefanoKeymasterThe only thing I can imagine is to have as many channels as many are the regions you have and create the relative lists so the user can choose what receive. Then you need to configure a theme for each channel to extract the correct news, maybe you need to code a special theme for that.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, it’s a missing feature, i’ll add it.
StefanoKeymasterYes, we know, with the new blocks it is a bit more challenging to implement that, but it’s the next task we’re working on.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, meanwhile you could suggest your customer to simply add a link to the attachment in the welcome email.
Thank you, Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterContact who is hosting your site and report them the problem. The filter can be at your hosting provider side or at the receiving domain side.
Stefano.
August 31, 2019 at 2:38 pm in reply to: Welcome text not showing up in the [newsletter] page. #221793StefanoKeymasterHi, but in the newsletter page you linked, which is the content? You should see only the [newsletter] shortcode.
StefanoKeymasterWith Automated extension you can automatically create newsletters using the blog contents. Automated channels are connected to lists, so you should create as many lists as many subscription options you’re offering.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterActually not.
Stefano.
August 29, 2019 at 11:23 am in reply to: In the "newsletter" page the empty form is always empty #220216StefanoKeymasterHi, can you explain me better what you’re trying to get? If you’re subscribed, you’re just registered in a database, not logged in in a site. You can access the profile form when you click on the {profile_url} on newsletters you receive.
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, could be your email client not activating the link? Have you tried with a different mailbox?
StefanoKeymasterHi, can you share a screenshot? Would you like to contact me at stefano@thenewsletterplugin.com for a debug session?
Stefano.
StefanoKeymasterHi, the speed is limited by your provider speed and limits. Using an external delivery system you may get better results.
Of course be sure to have a correct cron setting checking the status panel for warnings and delivery statistics.
Stefano.
