User Role Integration

I installed the User Role Integration add-on, but I’m looking for a way to sync a specific user role with a newsletter, I don’t care which direction.
I’m creating a wholesale section of my website. I have a wholesale user role that integrates with WooCommerce. So I want to sync that wholesale user role with the wholesale list so when they sign up for one, they’re added to the other (and ideally, when they unsub from the newsletter, they remove themselves from the user role, too). Can this be done if I give wholesalers access to a wholesaler page with a signup form for either the user role or the newsletter list?

Once I get that up & running, I want to set up a separate customer list, but one step at a time.
