Adding contacts via a webhook

Evaluating for a client and can’t find information on if it is possible to import a subscriber via a webhook, either through Zapier or just a simple webhook. I see that you can push data out via a webhook, but nothing with information on how to pull data in – even just an email, fname/lname would be ok.
Our client would like to add subscribers from a couple of signups outside of their wordpress site (their elearning platform, zoom webinars, etc.)
Does anyone know if that can be done? I saw a VERY old forum post asking the same question with no responses at all.

Hi, you should use our API addon (free) to collect subscribers from external systems. The webhook addon is available to SEND subscriptions to other systems.
