KeymasterAlso, please try to set logs level to debug and let us have a look at those. You can find log level settings in Settings > Advanced.

Michael
KeymasterHello,
this is rather weird. Are you 100% sure you don’t have a targeting filter in place?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterIt’s ok Pete, it shouldn’t happen with test posts anyways, so we’ll check that.
Have a nice day,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHi,
Posts block should work as you thought it would, checking last newsletter send date and including only posts published after that date. Did you experience this issue during a real Automated delivery or by testing from the composer panel?

May 21, 2026 at 10:08 am in reply to: New feature request: Add category to Elements tab of Last posts block #356691Michael
KeymasterHello,
thanks for your feedback, I’ve submitted this to our development team.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHi Gabi,
sorry for the late reply. Does the block options panel closes by itself or after you click save?
A quick video of what’s happening would be extremely helpful here.Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Gabi,
can you please specify what you mean with “the block crashes” ? Do you get an error? Or it just fails showing your posts? Are you sure they’re tagged correctly?
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHi, you should set background on the Instasend block inside your template. That is the only section which is actually rendered when using Instasend.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHi Steph,
this a rather common issue, but it’s not caused by Newsletter itself: as you said, the problem here are the spam bots hitting your website and draining resources. This would happen with any public subscription form, unless you put in place some kind of mitigation. We have a doc page on these matters: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/subscription/antiflood/, I’d start from there, but keep in mind that there are more “drastic” measures to prevent this from happening, but you’d need access to your own server.

KeymasterThat’s so nice to hear, thanks!
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHi,
in the screenshots I can see the blog post title, so what you’re saying is that when you click “Apply changes”, the title disappears from the composer preview?
Michael
Michael
Keymasteri don’t think it is much useful but I will forward this to our devs.
Michael
KeymasterNo worries, let me know if you need anything else!
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHey, sorry, my bad: you can find those data by going to Reports > Newsletters > stats icon > Subscribers. However, those stats are referring generally to each subscriber’s behaviour: you can’t see which link every subscribers has clicked.
Michael
KeymasterHello,
if you have a valid active license with us, please open a ticket from our website so you can get in touch with our support staff. Anyway, if you could take some screenshot of this issue, it would help.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
no sorry, I thought you didn’t have Reports installed. If you have it, and you have a valid license with us, please open a ticket from our website to get premium support.
Anyway: try to go here: Reports > Newsletters > click on the stats symbol near the desired newsletter > Links.
Michael
KeymasterHello Dan,
I understood what you’re doing with the code snippet you’ve pasted but there’s no similar function in Newsletter, unfortunately. If you need to prevent older posts from being imported in a newsletter, at the moment there’s only the option to select “last xx posts.. from xx category”. It’s not checking for a temporal range, but it works in chronological order only. Anyway, I’ll talk about this feature requests with our developers, if proven useful (well, I know it is) we will discuss of implementing it in one of the future updates.
Thanks for your precious feeback!

KeymasterHello Dan,
thanks for the kind words. At the moment no, there’s no way to filter posts by date. Can you please explain to me what you mean by “stale” content?

that’s possible by installing our premium Reports addon. Read more here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/addons/extended-features/reports-extension/

April 24, 2026 at 9:21 am in reply to: A dynamic “do not send to” list, based on a list from another plugin? #356012Michael
KeymasterHello,
this is certainly doable, in some way, but not natively. Your best bet is to create a custom addon (or function, which is basically the same thing) that updates recursively a dedicated Newsletter list and excludes the users that actually signed up to an event. This can be tricky though, as someone could sign up for the event while the newsletter is sending, for example, and you also need to “sync” the right TNE fields with the list. Anyway, a skilled developer should be able to do this.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHi, text version is auto-generated upon sending, but you can also configure it by hand on the Sending > Advanced tab (it appears when you proceed to the actual delivery), and yes, this strenghten deliverability. About Pyzor, please run another test with mail-tester.com and link me the results.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHey, I didn’t mean I don’t like your idea, and sorry if you felt like I was being unfriendly, that was not the case!
If WordPress itself isn’t configured to obfuscate default folder structure, it means that they are discoverable anyways by bots and automatic scans. So that wouldn’t resolve the issue at its core. If we’re talking about a more professional look, yeah, you’re right, however it’s not simple as it may look. We’ll talk about this in our next internal meeting.
We really do thank you for your precious feedback.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
yeah, the import addon is the right way to manage this use case. Glad you’ve solved this!
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
Newsletter doesn’t automatically flag a subscriber as “inactive”, but instead it registers its last interaction, regardless of what it is (opens, clicks). Then, from the maintenance panel you can choose to add to a particular list those subscribers that didn’t interact with your newsletters within a set time frame. Once you have them in a list, you can perform further actions.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHi,
while do not have a ready to use policy which you can copy paste (every website is different), we do have a pretty comprehensive documentation article on these matters which you can use as a starting point: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/subscription/gdpr-compliancy/
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
did you test that with mail-tester.com ?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
unfortunately no, no news on this. I can’t give you an expected time frame for when this will be available, so if you’re in a hurry consider hiring a developer to create a custom block that solves this issue.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHi,
that is a recurring request by many of our users. We are considering adding this in the future but no ETA at the moment : )
Michael
April 1, 2026 at 11:29 am in reply to: How to automatically schedule email with latest blog post? #355479Michael
KeymasterHello,
you should use Automated, as it is the only way to do what you’re trying to achieve. I get that you need to send out a single, non recurring email, but at the moment, there’s no way to do that in a simple way, due to how scheduled post work.
Michael
Michael

yes sorry about this, I just spoke with him : )
Michael
Michael

we do not have such a feature at the moment, anyway, our links follows WordPress logic.

Michael
KeymasterHello,
no, single opt-in is nowhere as secure as double opt-in, even with a captcha system in place. Beside this, double opt-in is required by many privacy regulations around the world and it’s de facto the standard way nowadays to obtain a verifiable, secure subscription.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHi,
it’s a interesting perspective but I think it would require some in-depth analysis. Let me speak with our devs about this, and I’ll get back to you real soon.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
yes, you can activate antispam options but beside this, double confirmation is already a good way of preventing spam subscribers to become actual subscribers. Just remember to periodically delete them to keep your list clean.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Matt,
sorry for this delay. I’m not sure either, cause we didn’t push any particular update regarding the sending engine. Anyway, glad this has been solved.

Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Manuela,
the fallback option works only when the standard Newsletter form is used to sign up. If you use Wp Forms, there should be an option there to set it, but I must check. I’ll get back to you.

Michael
KeymasterHello Matt,
sorry for this delay. I cannot see particular errors from your screenshots, so let’s try another way. Ask your hosting provider if there’s a Smtp service included in your plan, if so, use Wp Mail Smtp and set your provider’s Smtp connection data. Then do a test send.

February 23, 2026 at 11:00 pm in reply to: save function is compromised – taking a very long time, longer with each save #354086Michael
KeymasterHello Robert,
no, every duplication creates a new newsletter so that’s not the problem. I’d focus on the images, are they optimized? How much do they weigh on average? It seems that you have quite a few active at the same time, that could lead to slowness (but it’s still weird because you never experienced it before). Would you mind recording a screengrab video of the whole process from when you click save to when the UI becomes responsive again? That would help a lot.
michael
February 23, 2026 at 9:29 pm in reply to: save function is compromised – taking a very long time, longer with each save #354083Michael
KeymasterHello,
I think the culprit here is the way you’re creating the newsletter or the content you’re trying to parse. Could you please tell me specifically which blocks are you using in your template?
Michael
February 23, 2026 at 5:56 pm in reply to: save function is compromised – taking a very long time, longer with each save #354071Michael
KeymasterHello,
this is weird. try this: go to Newsletters > All newsletters, locate the faulty one in the list, at the extreme right there is a “T” icon. It creates a template out of a given newsletter. Click it, and then try to create a new newsletter: select the newly created template from the popup panel. Check if it’s still slow.
Michael
February 23, 2026 at 5:42 pm in reply to: save function is compromised – taking a very long time, longer with each save #354066Michael
KeymasterI’m not sure what you mean by “not updated”. It’s the plugin as a whole that got updated, newsletters are just data inside the plugin. Anyway, it could be that single newsletter that got corrupted somehow. Try to duplicate it and test saving responsiveness in the duplicate.
Michael
February 23, 2026 at 5:38 pm in reply to: save function is compromised – taking a very long time, longer with each save #354063Michael
KeymasterIf you try to edit & save another newsletter, is it slow? Is the settings panel slow as well?
Michael
February 23, 2026 at 5:22 pm in reply to: save function is compromised – taking a very long time, longer with each save #354061Michael
KeymasterHello Robert,
we didn’t change anything in last update that could lead to slowness while saving options or newsletter editing. Do you experience slowness or unresponsive behaviours in WordPress or in other plugins as well?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Matt,
thanks for the info. Please install Wp Mail Logging plugin as described here (https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/troubleshooting/email-sending-issues/#wp-mail-logging) and perform a test send. Get back to me with your findings.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
glad you’ve solved this. About the “not found” notice: our addons are not part of the official WordPress.org repository, so changelog is not present when clicking on details.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterPlease deactivate wp_debug for the meantime. On Monday we will release a fix for this.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
we are currently investigating this issue, thanks for your feedback.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterUnderstood. At the moment we don’t have a feature that does exactly this, the reason why you’re always getting the same newsletter is because the WooCommerce block keeps searching for latest products and since no new products are present, it keeps showing the last ones (products are always shown in cronological order). At the moment there’s no easy way to solve this, or at least not in an automated way. Let me talk with our devs and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello, I’m not sure if the infection you were experiencing has nothing to do with the sending issue (it might have, it really depends on what kind of malware infected your website and if you managed to completely remove it – which you might think you have, but in my experience it’s really really difficult to clean up a malware/injection without the intervention of a professional).
that being said, only logs can help understand why the actual send don’t go out. Please go to Help > Logs and let me know if you see some logs there. Also send me a screenshot of the full Help > Sending dashboard.
Thanks
Michael
KeymasterHello,
correct me if I didn’t understand your situation, but what you’d like to achieve is a weekly automated newsletter with random products and blog posts, is that right?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterYes Thomas, my bad, I thought you were referring to the custom css box in general settings. I’ve already passed your feature request to our developers, for further evaluation (but it already was in our radars).
I’ll update you whenever I have news on this.
Michael
February 18, 2026 at 9:43 am in reply to: Do you have any other templates other that the “Standard Templates”? #353896Michael
KeymasterHello,
the templates you see in the “standard templates” section are what we offer at the moment. I think they offer a good starting point for most common use-cases, but of course they cannot cover all needs. We’re adding new ones from time to time.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
targeted lists and language options are not imported when creating a new template from an existing ones, but they are imported if you duplicate an already saved newsletter. So you could create some “dummy” newsletters with the right settings and use them as “templates” by duplicating them and edit them accordingly, while retaining the targeted lists and language options.

February 18, 2026 at 9:38 am in reply to: Emojis disappeared during a send, $wpdb charset showing an error #353894Michael
KeymasterHello,
as the flag in Help > System suggests, this looks like an encoding issue within your database. Please check if the charset in your database has changed lately and set it tu utf8mb4 to ensure all special characters get encoded right.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Thomas,
at this moment we don’t have an option to set border radius in the composer. Custom CSS is referred to signup forms, not to the email templates. You could create your final template and then switch to html editor, where you can edit the raw html and add your custom classes there. However, by doing so you won’t be able to switch back to the visual composer. Anwyay, I will pass this to our developers in order to evaluate adding a custom css box in the composer general settings.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
we got your support ticket, one of our support team members will get to you as soon as possible.

Michael
Michael
KeymasterHi,
please reach me at michael@thenewsletterplugin.com and send me the license number you’re trying to use.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterYes, that’s right.
Michael
KeymasterHello everyone,
and apologies for not having replied to this topic in a long time. At the moment, as you noticed, there’s a fixed set of custom fields available when using the Cpt block in the Composer. We tried to make it simple to create a new custom block (starting from the Cpt block itself) in order to map and show every custom field you may need. But I get this isn’t for everybody. I will talk with our devs to evaluate further developments on this matter.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterJust a note: addons will continue working even after license expiration, but you won’t be able to update them without a valid license.
Michael
KeymasterHello,
no, at the moment there’s no update on this.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
thanks for letting us know, we’ll correct this as soon as possible.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
please go to your account page and click Regenerate key (be sure not to use the one under “Your licenses” box). Then go to General settings in the plugin and insert the key. If it fails validation, please report back with the exact error message you’re gettings. I confirm that addons will continue working even after premium licenses expiration.

KeymasterHi,
please read our dedicated documentation page here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/installation/newsletter-configuration/#speed.
You should always ask your provider about the sending limits, and set them accordingly in Newsletter > Settings > General > Sending.

KeymasterHello,
it looks like your cron isn’t working properly, please read here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/troubleshooting/newsletter-delivery-engine/
Also, mail logs can contain precious informations on these kind of issues: Newsletter has a basic loggin system and so do your sending provider (your host or a dedicated service). You can also try installing a dedicated mail logging plugin such as Wp Mail Logging.

if you’re importing the csv with your users data, the fastest way is to filter it with any csv editor, then upload only the selected users inside Newsletter.

Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Lars,
thanks, I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Adrian,
that will never work on an email client. Please re-read my last reply. Use this website to check which html and css work in an email and which doesn’t.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Adrian,
unfortunately CSS in email design doesn’t work like in regular web pages. There have been many progresses in the last few years but we’re still facing incompatibilities with many email clients so we cannot introduce any of the newer techniques for all our users.
If you’re using our visual composer, it should be fairly easy to obtain a 2 colums layout, but if you’re coding your own html section it would be better to think of a hybrid design. That would be:
1. You create your template with the dynamic blocks from our composer, e.g. posts,
2. You save it and switch to html editor (warning: you will not be able to switch back)
3. You create your desired 2 columns section with html, you can start with this article which explains the ropes of responsive email design https://www.litmus.com/blog/understanding-responsive-and-hybrid-email-design
4. Save it again and test.Unfortunately we cannot give much support on custom designs, other people may be helpful here in the forums.
Michael

if the frame exceeded the email container, you’ve probably misconfigured some widths. Here’s a basic template you can start with:
Let me know if that works for you.

January 11, 2026 at 10:42 pm in reply to: Newsletter Preview Page not showing up right scale from Instagram #352772Michael
KeymasterHello,
that tag is already there. I confirm it’s happening on iOS as well, but only from your site, in our test environments it’s not happening at all. Please try to add the following css to Settings > Advanced:
/* Fix for zoomed-in Newsletter View on Mobile */
@media only screen and (max-width: 768px) {
/* Force the main container and tables to be fluid */
body, table, .newsletter-email {
width: 100% !important;
max-width: 100% !important;
min-width: 0 !important;
}/* Ensure images shrink to fit */
img {
height: auto !important;
max-width: 100% !important;
}
}Tell me if that works.
Michael
KeymasterHello Lars,
yes my bad, I focused on the text alignment, and I didn’t notice that the whole paragraph is pushed to the right. More than an alignment issue, it looks like a layout issue. Can you please check If when you add some other blocks in the same composer template, the layout stays on the right?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
sorry for this delay. I checked the links in your email and they looked correct. Clicks tracking usually is very precise, and since opens stats are showing up correctly, I’m not sure what’s wrong here. Are you using an external sending provider or are you sending through your own Wp website ?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Lars,
I am sorry but in your second screenshot, text is correctly aligned to the left.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
email design, expecially when it comes to structure, doesn’t rely much on css. If you’re using the html block, multiple columns structure can be obtained using nested tables. No css is needed.

Michael
Michael

I’d need you to register this email (michael@thenewsletterplugin.com) are a confirmed subscriber of your website, then send a test newsletter to the same address (a copy of the newsletter that didn’t receive any clicks).
Thanks
Michael
KeymasterAbsolutely no worries, we’re glad to have helped : )
M
Michael
KeymasterHello,
thanks for your kind words. If you want, you can leave a feedback here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/newsletter/#reviews
You’d need to create a free wp.org account.
Thanks again!
Michael
Michael
KeymasterEven better than html forms (which anyway should give you complete control) you can use forms like [newsletter_form list="x"], where “x” is the public list number you want to be assigned to that forms’ subscribers.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
your main form will add subscribers to list “A” > go to Subscription > Lists and create list “A” and set it as Enforced and private, so every new subscriber will be added to that list automatically.
your other forms, which you should create by going to Forms > Html forms (read documentation), will work the same way, but with different lists (which you should create beforehand and you may set them as public or private).
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
the date format we use in Newsletter Archive page, is the same you set on WordPress main settings. So if you need to change it, you can make it from the Wp general settings page.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
please go to Help > System, at the end of the page click on “Show advanced parameters”, the page will reload. Please send us a screenshot of that page.
Thanks
Michael
KeymasterSo, to summarize: even with a new subscriber that you manually entered (and confirmed), the “Created On” field in Advanced panel remains empy. Is that right? Sorry but I need to verify all the steps
Michael
KeymasterHello,
as Stefano said, Leads addon has more customization capabilities, if you want to stick with core plugin popup, you’d need to use css for more advanced editing.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterThat’s weird, it leads me to think that some database tables got deleted. Please try the following: register a new dummy subscriber, confirm it, and check if the “Created on” field gets populated.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterSorry, so the “Date” column in newsletters panel is empty even for sent newsletters?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
go to Subscribers > click on “edit” icon on the desired subscriber > Advanced panel
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
you should be able to edit the font color by going to Forms > Popup > Set text editing box to “Visual”. Anyway, that’s your theme’s css conflicting, you can also easily address these kind of issues by editing your theme css file.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
you can use checkboxes on any form, if the user checks one of them, he gets assigned to that list. Please check our documentation articles on forms.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Gregory,
if you have a valid license and need to ask anything about the pro addon, please open a ticket from your account area, thank you. Anyway yes, that’s the way it is at the moment, I’ve added your feedback to our user requests list.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterYes, snippets are not allowed on pre-header text.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Matthew,
I replied to your post on wp.org. I’ll then copy the solution here, should anybody else search for the same topic.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
the best way to differentiate between subscribers is by using lists and custom forms. You create a new custom form where every new subscription gets assigned to a list, then you use that list to target those subscribers with your campaigns. I’m not sure I understood the second part of your post, could you please elaborate on that?
Thanks,
MichaelDecember 12, 2025 at 7:45 am in reply to: CAPTCHA Confusing People – Need Some Ability To Give Context #351991Michael
KeymasterHello,
no, that’s not possible. If you find the captcha confusing for your users, just deactivate it.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
is the popup currently active on your website?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
you’d need to to use Automated addon to set up automatic emails with a schedule. We don’t have a feature to send out newsletters automatically after a new post is created, but you can set up daily emails that will run only when a new post is found. Or, you can use our Instasend addon to have the option to send a pre-configured newsletter from the post edit page, making the process more straightforward for your use case.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
no, the captcha is shown on a separate page. It could be edited but it requires some coding knowledge.

December 9, 2025 at 9:54 am in reply to: CAPTCHA Confusing People – Need Some Ability To Give Context #351828Michael
KeymasterHello Walter,
generally speaking, spam subscriptions clutter your inbox, wasting resources and time. They may also aim to inject malicious code or to perform backlinking to their websites.
Please read our documentation article to learn more on how Newsletter prevents those kind of subscriptions: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/subscription/antiflood/
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
which snippet is that?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
thanks. Could you please also send me the screenshot of the error you’re getting?
Just to be sure: you never bought one of our premium licenses, is that right?Michael
December 1, 2025 at 10:24 am in reply to: I install Gravatar and… I can’t longer send a test of my newsletter !? #351556Michael
KeymasterHello,
I highly doubt that the gravatar has nothing to do with this: gravatars are supported by some email clients which will look up the address against the Gravatar database: if a match is found, some email clients will display the avatar in the inbox. If you perform a test from the Help > Sending panel, do you receive that email?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
no, that is intended behaviour: a user is non confirmed until he opts in and they appear in the subscribers list as such. May I ask you what’s reason behind not wanting them in your subscribers list?
Michael
December 1, 2025 at 10:20 am in reply to: Blocks not visible in the compose window on iPad with keyboard #351554Michael
KeymasterHello,
Newsletter is non tested on mobile devices so errors may arise. May I ask you which model of iPad (screen size, expecially) and which browser are you currently using?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Henk,
please send your license number to michael@thenewsletterplugin.com so we can check further.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
let me check the video, some of them are outdated.
Thanks
Michael
KeymasterHello Seth,
if no test email is delivered, and if you’re sending using your own website mailing capabilities, it may indicate that something is not working on your hosting provider’s end. Please contact them and explain that emails coming from your website are not delivered.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello @wneary,
I guess I already answered to your ticket (if it was you).
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
you can change those texts directly in the composer using the Footer block settings.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
yes sorry, we need to update the documentation page. The settings you’re searching are in Subscription > Settings > Antispam
Michael
KeymasterHello,
you would want to look at the logs here. Are you sending with an external engine or directly from your WordPress website? If you perform a test from Help > Delivery, do you get the email?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Seth,
what you mean exactly by “I have changed the subject name” ? Did you duplicate an older sent newsletter? Are you sending with an external engine or from your WordPress website? If you perform a test from Help > Delivery, do you get the email?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Bruno,
did you install TranslatePress bridge addon?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
if this issue is limited to one subscriber, I’d think of an issue related to his mailbox rather than an issue with your mail server or the plugin itself. If you know this user personally, or he’s willing to help you with some troubleshooting, try to add his email address as test subscriber and perform some tests from the test send feature of the composer, or add his email address in Help > Delivery mail testing field.

November 17, 2025 at 10:23 am in reply to: Improvements to the block Custom Post Type + Posts #350918Michael
KeymasterHello,
I’ve passed this to our developers so we can evaluate whether to add an Eventin integration on our to-do list. Please consider that developing a brand new integration will require some time (and lots of testing) so it’s not something that will see light before 2026, I’m afraid.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello everyone,
to address spam subcriptions related issue, I invite you to read this documentation article: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/subscription/antiflood/
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Peter,
but which version of Newsletter are you using currently? Is the issue present even after last update?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Milan,
you’re welcome!
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
no, I’m not registered as “user of website”, but just as a “subscriber” who unsubscribed. I’m not allowed to access my dashboard anymore and if I want to re-subscribe, I need to do that from the goodbye email (or from the message that appears once when i click on Unsubscribe on my profile) or by performing a new subscription from one of the available forms.
Michael
KeymasterHello Milan,
I subscribed to your newsletter, then unsubscribed. Then I tried to reach my profile page and I got the “Subscriber not found” message (which is correct). Did you try this yourself from a logged in account?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
these kind of errors are most likely linked to a conflict with another plugin or theme, as we extensively tried to replicate them, to no avail. There’s no simple way of troubleshooting this but the fastest way is to deactivate plugins one by one and test if the bug disappear after each deactivation.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
May I ask you your website url?
Michael
November 10, 2025 at 9:40 am in reply to: Help for little filter newsletter_subscription code #350631Michael
KeymasterHello Daniel,
I’ve shared this with our developers, but unfortunately we cannot help with custom code at this time. Anyway, that filter would trigger only when a subscription is performed through one of our forms. Are you using a form creation plugin?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
yes, if you go Subscription > Settings, you’ll find a section called Subscription of existing subscribers. Set “When unsubscribed” to “Allow” to let your users subscribe again.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
Newsletter is a totally self-hosted solution and all the data resides on your hosting space only. Even the diagnostic data can be enabled only by.a specific optin. We have absolutely no access to your subscribers list and related info.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Johan,
that’s a different error. May I ask you the courtesy of opening another thread so we can keep things separate?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Kaz,
you can use our Wp Users addon to do that. You should create a dedicated list (let’s say, “Registered Users”), that go to the Wp User addon and set the same list as pre-assigned. Then run the sync tool. All your registered users will be added to a specific list (beware, if there are registered users which are not subscribers, thos will be added as subscribers as well). Then, run a campaign excluding that list using the targeting options.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Kaz,
yes I will, unfortunately I’m not able to give you an ETA at the moment, but I’ll make a note on your request and I’ll reply here as soon as I have some news.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
an increase of fake subscriptions may depend on a lot of factors but still, it needs to be taken care of. About comments: the golden rule is, if you don’t use them, deactivate them. There’s simple snippets that do that. If you use comments, be sure to put in place some antispam tools such as Captcha or anything else.
Regarding Newsletter: we have a documentation article on these topic, it may be worth to take a look: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/subscription/antiflood/
Michael
KeymasterHello,
I would advise otherwise, Amazon SES is a dedicated tool for mass emailing and it’s always a good idea to keep things separated (unless your Ec2 instance is used for Smtp only). But yeah, until things work.. : )
Regards,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello Bruno,
I’ll try to replicate this issue and get back to you as soon as possible.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Kaz,
sorry but I don’t have any experience with that kind of plugins. We’re also not integrated with it, but I can always give it a try.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Eric,
aside from each one’s experiences with SES, which is a really solid sending service (an industry standard, I’d dare to say), I’d like to point out that any sending provider *works* with our plugin. We have some integrations with the most famous ones, which means we provide a dedicated addon that connects to the service via APIs, but apart from that there’s always the Smtp connection.
About SES: as soon as you exit the sandbox the limits should stick around something like 50k emails every 24 hours, which should be more than enough in your use case.
Michael
October 29, 2025 at 10:13 am in reply to: Sorry for the duplication. How can I display the number of subscribers to a list #350164Michael
KeymasterHello Laszlo,
we don’t have a solution straight out of the box for this, but it’s certainly doable. I think your best bet would be hiring a skilled developer to have this done for you (it should be fairly easy). Unfortunately we cannot help here on these kind of customizations.

if you have further questions or doubts on MemberPress addon and you have a valid license with us, please open a ticket from your account area in order to get in touch with premium support.
Thanks!
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
unfortunately if you want to use that you’d need to create an html custom form, it’s not available as an option inside the form designer. Anyway, let me test it briefly.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Peter,
no, the sending newsletter shouldn’t be a cause for these kind of errors. I’m still troubleshooting, please bear with me.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Kaz,
if you’re offering a newsletter subscription during website registration and the users don’t allow for it, it means they opted out and therefore I wouldn’t email them at all. I’d rather place strategically subscription forms on the pages they’ll be visiting.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Peter,
your website is throwing a lot of connection errors when I try to navigate pages. I don’t know if this can be related to the template issue (no console errors are coming up) but I’d need to look deeper into that. I’ll be back as soon as possible.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Peter,
sorry for this delay. I’m loggin in right now.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Torsten,
I’m checking again, I’ll be back to you as soon as possible.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Kaz,
I’m not sure sure I understood correctly what you’re asking. Are you referring to WordPress users who don’t subcribe to newsletter during registration?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Peter,
sorry for this delay but I hadn’t the time to log in to your website until today. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Torsten,
yes, some of those aren’t translated yet in german, and other can’t be translated, for various reasons. I’d recommend installing LocoTranslate and do the missing translations yourself, if this is vital for you clients. That would the fastest way of having everything translated.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
may I ask you which version of Newsletter are you currently running?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Miguel,
I can confirm that there’s absolutely no reason to do that in order to improve deliverability, as you found yourself. Sometimes it can even decrease it. I’d rather focus on technical aspects like DKIM, SPF and DMARC and a good layout – content of the email itself. Those are key to reach a good deliverability. And of course: test, test and test again : )
Let me know if you need anything else, we’re here to help.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Torsten,
we’re here to help. For most languages, Newsletter is translated with percentages over 95%. That means almost every string in the plugin is correctly translated in that language. However, there will always be a small amount of words (recently added, for example) that will still need translation and approval by the community. We have no control over that: since we’re italians we can only approve italian translations (that’s how the WordPress translation project works).
This regards only the core plugin, which is publicly available. If you installed some of the free addons (which you download from our website), those are not translated automatically but they can be translated via third party plugins such as LocoTranslate (which we greatly recommend). Can you tell me exactly where are you seeing those mixed languages panels or options?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Peter,
most probably there’s a javascript issue going on, there must be some kind of message appearing in your browser development console. If you’re familiar with that, it would be of great help knowing the content of that message. Alternatively, the only way is to let us have an admin access to your WordPress backend. You can email me at michael@thenewsletterplugin.com

KeymasterHello,
I’ve informed our developers of this, they will take a look and I’ll get back to you shortly.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
yes, our official Reports addon has this feature. You can see after each send how many click there were on every single link contained in your newsletter. Reports is part of our paid subscriptions, you can try it with a 30-day money back guarantee. Subscriptions are yearly with no automatic renewal.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello Matt,
sorry to hear that, looks like something went wrong during the connection to Brevo, we’ll investigate that.
Thanks,
MichaelOctober 2, 2025 at 10:24 am in reply to: Username ( user_login ) empty on registration/subscription #348935Michael
KeymasterHello Francesca,
I think that would work but unfortunately we can’t put that into the plugin in a production version, because if someone puts sensitive informations in the login field it wouldn’t be safe to have them sent through regular emails.
You could also try filtering subscriptions with the newsletter_subscription hook and then manage data as you prefer.
Hope that makes sense,
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
ticket is being managed by myself, let’s continue the troubleshooting there, please.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
I do apologize but I didn’t understand if the template button (first grey button) works or not in your website. I get that the template panel should pop up automatically after pressing “Add new” but I’d like to understand if by pressing the template icon it opens up.
Thanks,
Michael -
