KeymasterHello,
glad to hear that : )

Michael
KeymasterHello,
it looks like your cron isn’t working properly, please read here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/troubleshooting/newsletter-delivery-engine/
Also, mail logs can contain precious informations on these kind of issues: Newsletter has a basic loggin system and so do your sending provider (your host or a dedicated service). You can also try installing a dedicated mail logging plugin such as Wp Mail Logging.

KeymasterHello,
most probably you have a filter active in your subscribers panel.

KeymasterHello,
if you’re importing the csv with your users data, the fastest way is to filter it with any csv editor, then upload only the selected users inside Newsletter.

KeymasterHello,
the Drive link you’ve shared need approval.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterSorry, I forgot the url.
Here is it: caniemail.com. Search for “flex” and you’ll see why it’s not a great idea to use it in an email.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
if you have access to a backup of your database (your hosting should have one), you can restore the *_newsletter table.

Michael
KeymasterHello Lars,
thanks, I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Adrian,
that will never work on an email client. Please re-read my last reply. Use this website to check which html and css work in an email and which doesn’t.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Adrian,
unfortunately CSS in email design doesn’t work like in regular web pages. There have been many progresses in the last few years but we’re still facing incompatibilities with many email clients so we cannot introduce any of the newer techniques for all our users.
If you’re using our visual composer, it should be fairly easy to obtain a 2 colums layout, but if you’re coding your own html section it would be better to think of a hybrid design. That would be:
1. You create your template with the dynamic blocks from our composer, e.g. posts,
2. You save it and switch to html editor (warning: you will not be able to switch back)
3. You create your desired 2 columns section with html, you can start with this article which explains the ropes of responsive email design https://www.litmus.com/blog/understanding-responsive-and-hybrid-email-design
4. Save it again and test.Unfortunately we cannot give much support on custom designs, other people may be helpful here in the forums.

Michael
KeymasterHello Adrian,
if the frame exceeded the email container, you’ve probably misconfigured some widths. Here’s a basic template you can start with:
Let me know if that works for you.
Michael
January 11, 2026 at 10:42 pm in reply to: Newsletter Preview Page not showing up right scale from Instagram #352772Michael
KeymasterHello,
that tag is already there. I confirm it’s happening on iOS as well, but only from your site, in our test environments it’s not happening at all. Please try to add the following css to Settings > Advanced:
/* Fix for zoomed-in Newsletter View on Mobile */
@media only screen and (max-width: 768px) {
/* Force the main container and tables to be fluid */
body, table, .newsletter-email {
width: 100% !important;
max-width: 100% !important;
min-width: 0 !important;
}/* Ensure images shrink to fit */
img {
height: auto !important;
max-width: 100% !important;
}
}Tell me if that works.
Michael
KeymasterHello Lars,
yes my bad, I focused on the text alignment, and I didn’t notice that the whole paragraph is pushed to the right. More than an alignment issue, it looks like a layout issue. Can you please check If when you add some other blocks in the same composer template, the layout stays on the right?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
sorry for this delay. I checked the links in your email and they looked correct. Clicks tracking usually is very precise, and since opens stats are showing up correctly, I’m not sure what’s wrong here. Are you using an external sending provider or are you sending through your own Wp website ?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Lars,
I am sorry but in your second screenshot, text is correctly aligned to the left.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
email design, expecially when it comes to structure, doesn’t rely much on css. If you’re using the html block, multiple columns structure can be obtained using nested tables. No css is needed.

January 7, 2026 at 7:51 am in reply to: Newsletter Preview Page not showing up right scale from Instagram #352636Michael

we never got this error reported but of course it shouldn’t happen. I’ve already informed our developers about this.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
are you using the Text block in our composer? If you don’t see the alignment options it may mean you have some kind of conflict going on with TinyMCE editor. Could you please send me a screenshot?

January 3, 2026 at 10:23 am in reply to: Newsletter Preview Page not showing up right scale from Instagram #352551Michael
KeymasterHello Eric,
what do you mean by “a newsletter page”? A Newsletter archive page?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHi,
I’d need you to register this email (michael@thenewsletterplugin.com) are a confirmed subscriber of your website, then send a test newsletter to the same address (a copy of the newsletter that didn’t receive any clicks).
Thanks
Michael
KeymasterAbsolutely no worries, we’re glad to have helped : )
M
Michael
KeymasterHello,
thanks for your kind words. If you want, you can leave a feedback here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/newsletter/#reviews
You’d need to create a free wp.org account.
Thanks again!
Michael
Michael
KeymasterEven better than html forms (which anyway should give you complete control) you can use forms like [newsletter_form list="x"], where “x” is the public list number you want to be assigned to that forms’ subscribers.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
your main form will add subscribers to list “A” > go to Subscription > Lists and create list “A” and set it as Enforced and private, so every new subscriber will be added to that list automatically.
your other forms, which you should create by going to Forms > Html forms (read documentation), will work the same way, but with different lists (which you should create beforehand and you may set them as public or private).
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
the date format we use in Newsletter Archive page, is the same you set on WordPress main settings. So if you need to change it, you can make it from the Wp general settings page.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
please go to Help > System, at the end of the page click on “Show advanced parameters”, the page will reload. Please send us a screenshot of that page.
Thanks
Michael
KeymasterSo, to summarize: even with a new subscriber that you manually entered (and confirmed), the “Created On” field in Advanced panel remains empy. Is that right? Sorry but I need to verify all the steps
Michael
KeymasterHello,
as Stefano said, Leads addon has more customization capabilities, if you want to stick with core plugin popup, you’d need to use css for more advanced editing.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterThat’s weird, it leads me to think that some database tables got deleted. Please try the following: register a new dummy subscriber, confirm it, and check if the “Created on” field gets populated.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterSorry, so the “Date” column in newsletters panel is empty even for sent newsletters?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
go to Subscribers > click on “edit” icon on the desired subscriber > Advanced panel
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
you should be able to edit the font color by going to Forms > Popup > Set text editing box to “Visual”. Anyway, that’s your theme’s css conflicting, you can also easily address these kind of issues by editing your theme css file.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
you can use checkboxes on any form, if the user checks one of them, he gets assigned to that list. Please check our documentation articles on forms.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Gregory,
if you have a valid license and need to ask anything about the pro addon, please open a ticket from your account area, thank you. Anyway yes, that’s the way it is at the moment, I’ve added your feedback to our user requests list.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterYes, snippets are not allowed on pre-header text.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Matthew,
I replied to your post on wp.org. I’ll then copy the solution here, should anybody else search for the same topic.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
the best way to differentiate between subscribers is by using lists and custom forms. You create a new custom form where every new subscription gets assigned to a list, then you use that list to target those subscribers with your campaigns. I’m not sure I understood the second part of your post, could you please elaborate on that?
Thanks,
MichaelDecember 12, 2025 at 7:45 am in reply to: CAPTCHA Confusing People – Need Some Ability To Give Context #351991Michael
KeymasterHello,
no, that’s not possible. If you find the captcha confusing for your users, just deactivate it.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
is the popup currently active on your website?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
you’d need to to use Automated addon to set up automatic emails with a schedule. We don’t have a feature to send out newsletters automatically after a new post is created, but you can set up daily emails that will run only when a new post is found. Or, you can use our Instasend addon to have the option to send a pre-configured newsletter from the post edit page, making the process more straightforward for your use case.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
no, the captcha is shown on a separate page. It could be edited but it requires some coding knowledge.

December 9, 2025 at 9:54 am in reply to: CAPTCHA Confusing People – Need Some Ability To Give Context #351828Michael
KeymasterHello Walter,
generally speaking, spam subscriptions clutter your inbox, wasting resources and time. They may also aim to inject malicious code or to perform backlinking to their websites.
Please read our documentation article to learn more on how Newsletter prevents those kind of subscriptions: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/subscription/antiflood/
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
which snippet is that?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
thanks. Could you please also send me the screenshot of the error you’re getting?
Just to be sure: you never bought one of our premium licenses, is that right?Michael
December 1, 2025 at 10:24 am in reply to: I install Gravatar and… I can’t longer send a test of my newsletter !? #351556Michael
KeymasterHello,
I highly doubt that the gravatar has nothing to do with this: gravatars are supported by some email clients which will look up the address against the Gravatar database: if a match is found, some email clients will display the avatar in the inbox. If you perform a test from the Help > Sending panel, do you receive that email?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
no, that is intended behaviour: a user is non confirmed until he opts in and they appear in the subscribers list as such. May I ask you what’s reason behind not wanting them in your subscribers list?
Michael

KeymasterHello Seth,
if no test email is delivered, and if you’re sending using your own website mailing capabilities, it may indicate that something is not working on your hosting provider’s end. Please contact them and explain that emails coming from your website are not delivered.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello @wneary,
I guess I already answered to your ticket (if it was you).
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
you can change those texts directly in the composer using the Footer block settings.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
yes sorry, we need to update the documentation page. The settings you’re searching are in Subscription > Settings > Antispam
Michael
KeymasterHello,
you would want to look at the logs here. Are you sending with an external engine or directly from your WordPress website? If you perform a test from Help > Delivery, do you get the email?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Seth,
what you mean exactly by “I have changed the subject name” ? Did you duplicate an older sent newsletter? Are you sending with an external engine or from your WordPress website? If you perform a test from Help > Delivery, do you get the email?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Bruno,
did you install TranslatePress bridge addon?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
if this issue is limited to one subscriber, I’d think of an issue related to his mailbox rather than an issue with your mail server or the plugin itself. If you know this user personally, or he’s willing to help you with some troubleshooting, try to add his email address as test subscriber and perform some tests from the test send feature of the composer, or add his email address in Help > Delivery mail testing field.

November 17, 2025 at 10:23 am in reply to: Improvements to the block Custom Post Type + Posts #350918Michael
KeymasterHello,
I’ve passed this to our developers so we can evaluate whether to add an Eventin integration on our to-do list. Please consider that developing a brand new integration will require some time (and lots of testing) so it’s not something that will see light before 2026, I’m afraid.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello everyone,
to address spam subcriptions related issue, I invite you to read this documentation article: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/subscription/antiflood/
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Peter,
but which version of Newsletter are you using currently? Is the issue present even after last update?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Milan,
you’re welcome!
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
no, I’m not registered as “user of website”, but just as a “subscriber” who unsubscribed. I’m not allowed to access my dashboard anymore and if I want to re-subscribe, I need to do that from the goodbye email (or from the message that appears once when i click on Unsubscribe on my profile) or by performing a new subscription from one of the available forms.
Michael
KeymasterHello Milan,
I subscribed to your newsletter, then unsubscribed. Then I tried to reach my profile page and I got the “Subscriber not found” message (which is correct). Did you try this yourself from a logged in account?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
these kind of errors are most likely linked to a conflict with another plugin or theme, as we extensively tried to replicate them, to no avail. There’s no simple way of troubleshooting this but the fastest way is to deactivate plugins one by one and test if the bug disappear after each deactivation.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
May I ask you your website url?
Michael
November 10, 2025 at 9:40 am in reply to: Help for little filter newsletter_subscription code #350631Michael
KeymasterHello Daniel,
I’ve shared this with our developers, but unfortunately we cannot help with custom code at this time. Anyway, that filter would trigger only when a subscription is performed through one of our forms. Are you using a form creation plugin?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
yes, if you go Subscription > Settings, you’ll find a section called Subscription of existing subscribers. Set “When unsubscribed” to “Allow” to let your users subscribe again.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
Newsletter is a totally self-hosted solution and all the data resides on your hosting space only. Even the diagnostic data can be enabled only by.a specific optin. We have absolutely no access to your subscribers list and related info.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Johan,
that’s a different error. May I ask you the courtesy of opening another thread so we can keep things separate?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Kaz,
you can use our Wp Users addon to do that. You should create a dedicated list (let’s say, “Registered Users”), that go to the Wp User addon and set the same list as pre-assigned. Then run the sync tool. All your registered users will be added to a specific list (beware, if there are registered users which are not subscribers, thos will be added as subscribers as well). Then, run a campaign excluding that list using the targeting options.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Kaz,
yes I will, unfortunately I’m not able to give you an ETA at the moment, but I’ll make a note on your request and I’ll reply here as soon as I have some news.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
an increase of fake subscriptions may depend on a lot of factors but still, it needs to be taken care of. About comments: the golden rule is, if you don’t use them, deactivate them. There’s simple snippets that do that. If you use comments, be sure to put in place some antispam tools such as Captcha or anything else.
Regarding Newsletter: we have a documentation article on these topic, it may be worth to take a look: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/subscription/antiflood/
Michael
KeymasterHello,
I would advise otherwise, Amazon SES is a dedicated tool for mass emailing and it’s always a good idea to keep things separated (unless your Ec2 instance is used for Smtp only). But yeah, until things work.. : )
Regards,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello Bruno,
I’ll try to replicate this issue and get back to you as soon as possible.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Kaz,
sorry but I don’t have any experience with that kind of plugins. We’re also not integrated with it, but I can always give it a try.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Eric,
aside from each one’s experiences with SES, which is a really solid sending service (an industry standard, I’d dare to say), I’d like to point out that any sending provider *works* with our plugin. We have some integrations with the most famous ones, which means we provide a dedicated addon that connects to the service via APIs, but apart from that there’s always the Smtp connection.
About SES: as soon as you exit the sandbox the limits should stick around something like 50k emails every 24 hours, which should be more than enough in your use case.
Michael
October 29, 2025 at 10:13 am in reply to: Sorry for the duplication. How can I display the number of subscribers to a list #350164Michael
KeymasterHello Laszlo,
we don’t have a solution straight out of the box for this, but it’s certainly doable. I think your best bet would be hiring a skilled developer to have this done for you (it should be fairly easy). Unfortunately we cannot help here on these kind of customizations.

if you have further questions or doubts on MemberPress addon and you have a valid license with us, please open a ticket from your account area in order to get in touch with premium support.

MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
unfortunately if you want to use that you’d need to create an html custom form, it’s not available as an option inside the form designer. Anyway, let me test it briefly.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Peter,
no, the sending newsletter shouldn’t be a cause for these kind of errors. I’m still troubleshooting, please bear with me.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Kaz,
if you’re offering a newsletter subscription during website registration and the users don’t allow for it, it means they opted out and therefore I wouldn’t email them at all. I’d rather place strategically subscription forms on the pages they’ll be visiting.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Peter,
your website is throwing a lot of connection errors when I try to navigate pages. I don’t know if this can be related to the template issue (no console errors are coming up) but I’d need to look deeper into that. I’ll be back as soon as possible.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Peter,
sorry for this delay. I’m loggin in right now.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Torsten,
I’m checking again, I’ll be back to you as soon as possible.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Kaz,
I’m not sure sure I understood correctly what you’re asking. Are you referring to WordPress users who don’t subcribe to newsletter during registration?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Peter,
sorry for this delay but I hadn’t the time to log in to your website until today. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Torsten,
yes, some of those aren’t translated yet in german, and other can’t be translated, for various reasons. I’d recommend installing LocoTranslate and do the missing translations yourself, if this is vital for you clients. That would the fastest way of having everything translated.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
may I ask you which version of Newsletter are you currently running?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Miguel,
I can confirm that there’s absolutely no reason to do that in order to improve deliverability, as you found yourself. Sometimes it can even decrease it. I’d rather focus on technical aspects like DKIM, SPF and DMARC and a good layout – content of the email itself. Those are key to reach a good deliverability. And of course: test, test and test again : )
Let me know if you need anything else, we’re here to help.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Torsten,
we’re here to help. For most languages, Newsletter is translated with percentages over 95%. That means almost every string in the plugin is correctly translated in that language. However, there will always be a small amount of words (recently added, for example) that will still need translation and approval by the community. We have no control over that: since we’re italians we can only approve italian translations (that’s how the WordPress translation project works).
This regards only the core plugin, which is publicly available. If you installed some of the free addons (which you download from our website), those are not translated automatically but they can be translated via third party plugins such as LocoTranslate (which we greatly recommend). Can you tell me exactly where are you seeing those mixed languages panels or options?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Peter,
most probably there’s a javascript issue going on, there must be some kind of message appearing in your browser development console. If you’re familiar with that, it would be of great help knowing the content of that message. Alternatively, the only way is to let us have an admin access to your WordPress backend. You can email me at michael@thenewsletterplugin.com

October 2, 2025 at 3:59 pm in reply to: Send test ok but newsletter send to test subscribers error #348992Michael
KeymasterHello,
I’ve informed our developers of this, they will take a look and I’ll get back to you shortly.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
yes, our official Reports addon has this feature. You can see after each send how many click there were on every single link contained in your newsletter. Reports is part of our paid subscriptions, you can try it with a 30-day money back guarantee. Subscriptions are yearly with no automatic renewal.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello Matt,
sorry to hear that, looks like something went wrong during the connection to Brevo, we’ll investigate that.
Thanks,
MichaelOctober 2, 2025 at 10:24 am in reply to: Username ( user_login ) empty on registration/subscription #348935Michael
KeymasterHello Francesca,
I think that would work but unfortunately we can’t put that into the plugin in a production version, because if someone puts sensitive informations in the login field it wouldn’t be safe to have them sent through regular emails.
You could also try filtering subscriptions with the newsletter_subscription hook and then manage data as you prefer.
Hope that makes sense,
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
ticket is being managed by myself, let’s continue the troubleshooting there, please.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
I do apologize but I didn’t understand if the template button (first grey button) works or not in your website. I get that the template panel should pop up automatically after pressing “Add new” but I’d like to understand if by pressing the template icon it opens up.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
all our forms plugin integrations are included in our paid plans, because they require frequent updates and development.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
are you using Brevo through our official addon? The test delivery you mentioned, is it the one available from the newsletter creation panel or the one in Help > Delivery panel?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
please check which encoding system you have in place by going to Help > System panel. It should be utf8mb4, if it’s something else please change it to utf8mb4 and hit save.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Miguel,
may I ask you what is the purpose or the reason of doing that?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
I’m sorry but we don’t support multiselection with custom fields. You could try using a dedicated plugin for forms, like NinjaForms or WpForms.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
may I ask you how you insert emojis in the composer? Do you copy paste them from an external website, for example?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
we’re releasing a new version today where this will be fixed.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterGlad to have helped, let me know if you need anything else!

KeymasterHello Francesca,
I’ve let our developers know about this, I’ll be back as soon as possible with their findings.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
that error has nothing to do with Newsletter versions. Please reach out to your Smtp provider and let them know about this error (you’re exceeding your sending quota).
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
yes, I found your account under birdsasart@icloud.com. I also saw you just bought a new license (yes, they are annual licenses so you need to renew each year, a renewal email will be sent to you a couple of weeks before your expiration date).
Now you should also be able to open a ticket from your account page.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Sebastian,
no, there’s no built-in functionality for doing that, apart from deactivating the different plugins each time, which I know wouldn’t be ideal.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Artie,
no, there’s no active or expired license under that email address. Maybe you subscribed with another address, but anyways if you know that you subscribed more than a year ago than your license would be expired and that’s the reason why you can’t submit a ticket from your account area. Only users with an active paid license can do that. In your first reply you said you were a customer, that’s why I suggested to open a ticket with us.
Anyways, I can help you here. If you perform a test delivery from the Help panel, do you get that email?
Michael
KeymasterDid you try to open a ticket from your account at thenewsletterplugin.com/account ?
Michael
KeymasterHello,
we don’t have any open ticket under that email.

we are not currently integrated with that plugin, so we cannot predict which fields and id’s are used. Our addon works only if the standard WordPress registration process is used. I’ll take a look anyways, and get back to you.

Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
if you have an active license with us, I’d kindly ask you to open a ticket from your account so that our dedicated support team can reach out.
Thank you!

Michael
KeymasterNo worries, glad to have helped!
Michael
KeymasterHello, if you click on your profile link in the newsletter, it will always bring you to the right profile (the profile linked to that email address).
Michael
September 26, 2025 at 11:07 am in reply to: Opens dropped from 50% to 9%; many not receiving emails #348633Michael
KeymasterHello,
no, dropping means that the email won’t reach the recipient’s mailbox. If it ends up in the spam folder, there are other issues going on. Please read here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/troubleshooting/spam-issues/
Michael
KeymasterHello,
no, that’s not possible.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
I must apologize but it’s not entirely clean to me what you’d like to achieve here. Could you please try to re-elaborate?
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
that is because it’s only visible to logged in users (like yourself), or if a cookie is set. Please see my reply on your other thread.

September 22, 2025 at 11:19 am in reply to: There are issues with the delivery engine. Please check them here. #348455Michael
KeymasterYes, exactly. Please report them a summary of this issue (cron jobs are skipping) and ask them to check server logs. Please note that this issue almost surely impacts other plugins or functions of your WordPress installation, so it’s worth to have this checked.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterIf we put an email address field with an unsubscribe button, everyone would be able to unsubscribe everyone. Unsubscription can only start from the received newsletter or from a profile page.
Michael
September 22, 2025 at 11:15 am in reply to: How to Change the Text “Subscribe to our newsletter!” #348452Michael
KeymasterHello,
the widget label can be changed directly in the widget itself. Go to Apperance > Widgets, find the footer widget position and edit the widget from there. Also, first name option only applies to normal forms, not to the widget form.
Michael
September 22, 2025 at 11:09 am in reply to: There are issues with the delivery engine. Please check them here. #348451Michael
KeymasterYou’d need to check server error logs. It requires some degree of knowledge to understand what’s going on from the logs, so please ask your provider for help. This is something happening outside Newsletter, which only reports it in order to help you tracking down the issue.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
that is intended behaviour. The profile page is reachable only if a valid cookie is set in the visitor ‘s browser or by clicking on a link inside a newsletter.
Michael

I can’t access your Google Drive folder. Which error are you getting? Did you read Stefano’s comment up here?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
no worries, glad to have tracked down the issue. Let me know if you need anything else.

KeymasterHello Rico,
I also think that the one you suggested might be the only workaround to at least mitigate the security bots altering the campaign statistics. I’ve passed this to our developers (which, by the way, are already aware of this) for further evaluation.
We of course thank you for your kind feedback.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
I think I’ve understood what’s going on here. The fact is that our plugin hasn’t been translated by the WordPress community in swiss german, I guess that most people just switch to de_DE (Germany german) and use that, which is completely translated from english. Could you please try that and see if that solves the issue?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
unfortunately there’s no way at the moment to see the statistics you asked for. I’ve added this to our feature request list and will consider improving reports filtering options in the future.
Thanks!
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
may I ask you which Wp version are you on? Also, please check in WordPress updates panel if you have any update available (translations updates are usually towards the end of the page). Also, can you tell your website url?
Thanks,
MichaelSeptember 11, 2025 at 4:16 pm in reply to: Newsletter to go to all subscribers without an Account #348117Michael
KeymasterIf some of the subscribers in the imported csv are already present in your subscribers list (in your case I suppose they will all be present), our import addon will ask you what to do (just follow the steps). Of course the csv you will export from your ecommerce plugin must contain only the customers who subscribed to your newsletter.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
backend language follows your WordPress language, so if you have it in english, our plugin also will be in english. Frontend labels can be translated from the panels inside our plugin, e.g Subscription > Settings > Confirmation, and so on.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Oliver,
no problems at all. I think your solution would be the best possible one to come close to what you had in mind. Let me know if I can be of further help.

KeymasterHello Craig,
I fear there’s no way to do this automatically. You’d need to download a csv from your ecommerce plugin with all those guests customers (along with their email address), format that csv with a list number (you basically need to maintain only the basic info, like name, address, and list number – remember that it must be previously created), and then upload it using our import feature. It will update the existing matching subscribers by assigning them to the specified list number. Maybe perform some tests with a couple of subscribers to check that everything is properly working.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Oliver,
about anchors: please re-read my last message, that’s the updated compatibility chart of local anchors in email design. As you can see, one out of two email clients won’t render that correctly.
I don’t think there would be any workarounds for this, or alternatives. My personal opinion, if I can, is that indexes in a newsletter simply don’t make much sense. A newsletter itself can be see as an “index”, where you introduce a summary of your topics and send people to the full post through links. There are also some longer newsletters which have their public, but generally speaking, only a few people are interested enough to read long paragraphs on emails.
Hopes this makes sense to you,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello Omar,
I succeeded in replicating the issue. I confirm this. Unfortunately, this is not caused by our plugin itself, it is probably another plugin / theme conflicting. There is no easy way to troubleshoot this, but I suggest you to do the following: briefly deactivate plugins one by one (not our addons) and check if the closing “x” disappear by doing a page refresh after each deactivation. Also remember to flush cache if you have that in place.
Michael
September 9, 2025 at 9:25 am in reply to: Multisite: Newsletter installed in main site, register from subsites? #348025Michael
KeymasterHello,
I strongly suggest to create simple webpages in the “normal” way, with a page builder like Gutemberg or Elementor. Our plugin is focused on newsletter sending and might not be the best tool for what you’re trying to do.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
at the moment we do not have such feature.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello @HandyJoe,
we decided to shrink the sidebar to leave the most available space to the visual editor, and it’s the only panel in our plugin that behaves that way. But I understand your complaints, we’ll try to refine this in one of the next updates. Thank you!

that < tr > was placed intentionally to give some minimum space between the title and the post content. We should make it editable. I’ve informed our developers of this, thank you for your precious feedback!

thanks for the feedback, let me check this and I’ll get back to you. Also, can you please send a test newsletter to michael@thenewsletterplugin.com? Sometimes it’s the post formatting that can cause this kind of errors.

since we are personally in touch with Marcus, I will drop him a line to make him aware of this behaviour, so he can hopefully release an update soon.
Thanks for noticing us,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
I created an account but unfortunately I couldn’t see that issue. Which browser are you using? Also, which version of Newsletter and Leads addon are you currently on?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
did you correctly setup the newsletter main page as described here?
Michael
KeymasterHello,
I took a look at your website but unfortunately wasn’t able to reproduce this issue. The modal opened just fine, and I could see no errant X at the bottom of the page. Could you please send me a screenshot of that, maybe?
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
lists don’t work with locked content shortcode.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
do you have a link to your subscription form so I can give you the proper css rules?

are those images present in your media library? Could you please send a test newsletter (with the broken links) at michael@thenewsletterplugin.com?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
yes, the configuration seems correct. Could you please send me a live link of your subscription form?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
this is probably due to another rule for the same css class which is conflicting. Even if it’s not advised to do so, try to append the !important tag in your rule, like margin-top: 0 !important;

August 11, 2025 at 11:29 am in reply to: Locked Content – Accessing Content when Not subscribed #347159Michael
KeymasterHello,
yes we are aware of this behaviour. Unfortunately if you want to redirect your subscribers to different contents based on which locked content form they filled, this is currently possible using categories: e.g. you can unlock all posts with the “premium” category. We will work on improving this.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
considering that various css rules may be applied to various elements at once, causing display issues (expecially in plugins-rich websites or generally, in WordPress), it might be better if you let me have a live url of your form, so I can take a closer look.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
at the moment we don’t support that, if you refer to Ajax-like forms.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Harry,
yes, you’re right, what you see on the editor is clearly a bug, and we’ll fix it. Line height on larger fonts is by default pretty wide, I think the only option is to add a setting for that. I’ve passed this to our developers as well.
Thanks for your feedback,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
since you’re a paying customer, I’ll continue this conversation in the ticket you’ve opened with us.

KeymasterHello,
did you select your custom page in Subscription > Settings > Confirmation ? Could you send me a screenshot of that page?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
you can do that quite simply with Newsletter. You need to create custom forms and use the generated html in the other (“child”) websites. Please read more here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/subscription/newsletter-forms/ (some content might be a little outdated, we’re in the process of re-writing them).
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Harry,
I’m not seeing any errors when setting fonts in different sizes. Line height is always using a default value if it’s not specified elsewhere.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
you simply need to creat that folder in the specified position.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
no, there’s no way of selecting a specific date in Automated. Most of our users prefer to select a particular day of the week for marketing purposes (for example, they know that they post a new article every monday, etc.). However, you can schedule a normal newsletter to go out on a specific date, and you can repeat this how many times you need.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
feedback noted, thank you! Glad we’ve worked this out.

yes of course, our Professional Plan allows you to install Newsletter and all the premium addons on 3 different websites. Check all our licenses here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/premium
And let me know if you any other pre-sale questions.

July 29, 2025 at 9:39 am in reply to: individual subscription forms for different language users #346650Michael
KeymasterHello,
yes, those are connected to the standard form only. Anyway, if you created custom forms you can use the generated html pretty much everywhere, i’d recommend trying some popup/injection third party plugin, which will do the trick.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
1. To do that, you will need our Automated addon, which is included in our premium licenses. Take a look here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/premium
2. You can try, but due to email design limitations, I doubt that will work.
If you have a valid license with us, please open a ticket from you account area so that our premium support can help you, thanks.

KeymasterHello,
we do not offer the option to edit composer blocks as html (you can edit the newsletter as a whole in html, but once you’ve switched to html you can’t go back to the visual composer). We do have an html block where you can insert anything you’d like to, but of course that needs to be coded from scratch. I’ve passed this to our developers for further evaluation though.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
yes you can, go to Subscription > Settings > Welcome > Email and be sure to select “Composer” from the drop down. There, you can load you saved templates.
Michael
July 28, 2025 at 9:28 am in reply to: individual subscription forms for different language users #346609Michael
KeymasterHello,
you can create custom forms (read our documentation on how to do that) and link them to different lists, then place them in the translated pages according to your site languages settings.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
you can’t do that without some degree of custom code, so you would need a developers to do that for you. We also have a premium Ultimate Member addon wich you can try, but I can’t guarantee that will work (it’s a pretty particular situation). However, we have a 30 days refund policy so you can try risks-free.
Michael
July 28, 2025 at 9:22 am in reply to: “Block rendering failed” when trying to add a images to gallery block #346607Michael
KeymasterHello,
please check if any particular message comes up in the browser console. Also, try to deactivate and reactivate Newsletter.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Harry,
thanks for the kind words.
1. I need to check this with the devs, you’re referring to the info in Settings > Company, right?
2. I confirm it can’t be entered as html. No workaround at this time, but I’ve informed our developers and we might change this in the future for better customization options.
3/4. Let me speak with the devs about this, probably we need to fix that.Anyway, about the company info: you can also create a “company info” block with the composer itself, and make it reusable (template) so you can have html editing capabilities.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterYes, my bad sorry, didn’t think of the new forms editor. As @Harry said, please install a Smtp plugin like Wp Mail Smtp and configure your from address there.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
1. You can configure a removal link by adding this tag: {usubscription_url}. Read more here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/newsletters/newsletter-tags/
2. Newsletters > Statistics icon > Links
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
could you send me a screenshot of Subscription > Settings > Antispam panel?
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
1. what do you mean by “remove link” ?
2. No, you can’t do that from the newsletter itself, but after send is complete you can see who clicked on the various links on your newsletter, and add them to a list. You can also invite your subscribers to update their profile with a direct link to it.
Michael
