Hello everyone,
I have been playing around with a local version of TNP + Automated add-on for a client and I have one big problem I can’t seem to find a workaround:

The client in question has 112 products posted (woocommerce) and 140 blog posts.
IMPORTANT: no new products/blog posts have been added (in the last 2 years) or will be added in the future.

The client wants a weekly automated newsletter which auto sends itself each Tuesday.
The newsletter should include 15 products and 4 blog posts per newsletter.

From what I tested, TNP + Automated seem to be a great fit: emails get sent out regularly as per instructions, tracking is ok everything is fine.

The problem I am having is that each individual newsletter is identical with the previous one. The products & posts don’t rotate / revolve. Each week/iteration the newsletter is generated with the same products & posts as the last one before.
I can achieve what I want by editing the template each week & modifying the parameters inside the posts block and woocommerce block, but this defeats the purpose of fully automation.

Are there some exceptions I forgot to configure? Is there a workaround I can implement?
I have browsed the documentation, forums & ChatGPT and found nothing. I tried the instructions regarding “Generating the newsletter even without new posts” – but the instructions posted are not very detailed.

Any suggestions are welcomed!

Hello,

correct me if I didn’t understand your situation, but what you’d like to achieve is a weekly automated newsletter with random products and blog posts, is that right?

Exactly.

Preferably only in stock products (out of stock excluded).

Understood. At the moment we don’t have a feature that does exactly this, the reason why you’re always getting the same newsletter is because the WooCommerce block keeps searching for latest products and since no new products are present, it keeps showing the last ones (products are always shown in cronological order). At the moment there’s no easy way to solve this, or at least not in an automated way. Let me talk with our devs and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
