ParticipantHi. My website is https://www.noahsbarks.com/. I just got this plugin and enabled the subscription popup, but it’s white text on a bright grey background and virtually unreadable.
I can’t find a way to change colors, and the plugin is unusable like this. Any ideas on how to fix this?

KeymasterHello,
is the popup currently active on your website?

ParticipantYes, it is. It should appear after two visits. Also, is there any way I can set it to display on the first visit? Thank you.

KeymasterHello,
you should be able to edit the font color by going to Forms > Popup > Set text editing box to “Visual”. Anyway, that’s your theme’s css conflicting, you can also easily address these kind of issues by editing your theme css file.

ParticipantThank you, Michael. I think it might be helpful for Newsletter to add in accessibility features for changing color. I’m not familiar with .css, so I rely on plugins for a lot of functionality in the first place.
Also, I use the Twenty Twenty-Five theme, which I believe is one of the most popular themes, so I’d assume this would affect many users.

KeymasterHi, try to change the text colour when you customise the content of the popup, right now it seem to have not a color and it’s using the site text color (which is light gray).

ParticipantHi, Stefano. Thank you for your help, as well. My text color is set to complement my dark background, so maybe it would be helpful if Newsletter had some way to accommodate “dark” color schemes? Regardless, I will fiddle around with things to get it working.

ParticipantMy apologies! I just realized I missed the button to expand the toolbar, which does allow for easy text color editing.

KeymasterHi, the Leads addon has many more controls on the popup subscription form, the basic one is by now limited to that colors and what you can change using the editor.

ParticipantAnd I apologize AGAIN for the triple post. While I can edit the contents of my custom message, I’m not sure where I can change the text color of the “Name” and “Email” text above the text entry boxes. Could you please show me where to do so?

KeymasterHello,
as Stefano said, Leads addon has more customization capabilities, if you want to stick with core plugin popup, you’d need to use css for more advanced editing.
