On one site I have different templates for newsletters that we send to different (selections of) lists. On another bilingual site (using Polylang) we have 2 language based newsletters.
Mistakes my editors make too often after clicking Next:
    – forget to select the right list(s)
    – select the right lists(s) but forget to click Save before sending
    – forget to select the language
To avoid those mistakes I would like to set associated lists and language choice in the template.
If the editor for a new template has that option, I cannot find it. I also tried using the ‘T’ button in the sent newsletters list to create a template from an existing newsletter. But when I create a new newsletter from that template, lists and language are not set.

    Hello,

targeted lists and language options are not imported when creating a new template from an existing ones, but they are imported if you duplicate an already saved newsletter. So you could create some “dummy” newsletters with the right settings and use them as “templates” by duplicating them and edit them accordingly, while retaining the targeted lists and language options.

    Hello Michael,

What you describe is the way we worked before the Template system was introduced in TNP years ago. But that involves other risks with a mixed team of volunteer editors.
So you’ll guess my feature request for the template system.

    regards, Willem
