KeymasterHello Thomas,
I’m not sure I understood what you’re trying to obtain here. Do you need to pick only current month events when sending a newletter in the first days of the same month, is that right? And the same goes for “next month events” newsletter? If that is so, we don’t have such an option at the moment, I will pass this to our developers for further evaluation.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterOk,
I’ll take a deeper look into this, I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Michael
KeymasterHello Kazimierz,
if you have a valid pro license, please open a ticket from your account area, so our dedicated support can reach out.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterThat’s correct, it’s the default WordPress sender name for service emails. So we know it’s not an issue on your email client. Try to change sender name and save again, then perform another test send. Also flush cache if you have a caching system in place (I don’t believe this helps but you never know).
Michael
Michael
KeymasterJust received, thanks. I can confirm that the email address is showing, not the sender name. Are you sending using an external Smtp service?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterNo worries!
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
glad to hear this has been solved.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
could you please send a test email from Help > Delivery to michael@thenewsletterplugin.com?
Thanks
Michael
KeymasterHello,
I’m not sure what you’re asking, we have a custom posts block available among premium blocks in our composer, you can use that to import custom posts in a brand new newsletter. You don’t need any coding skill to do that.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
sorry, I misunderstood your request. Subscribers acquired after saving the schedule will be added to the sending queue (if not other targetization is selected). Counter will update after sending is over.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Ben,
thanks for letting us know and glad you’ve solved this.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Rebecca,
1. That would require some further customization, if you need to hook the action to a custom order status. A skilled developer might be able to do this but we do not offer support on these matters.
2. A gallery block is included in the paid composer blocks.
3. Yes you can : )
Let me know if you need anything else,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
at the moment it’s not possible, unfortunately. Custom post types can imported via Cpt block only.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
may I ask what you mean by “schedule”? Are you using Automated addon?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
we don’t have such an option at the moment, I’m sorry. I’ll pass this to our developers in order to add this option in the future.

April 17, 2025 at 10:35 am in reply to: How to Send Welcome Email with Coupon Code (WooCommerce)? #343204Michael
KeymasterHello,
sending issues aside, welcome emails are sent automatically to every new subscriber. You can check this by performing a test subscription from your subscription form.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
you can make a selection of your blog posts prior to creating the newsletter, and group them by adding a custom category. Then you can use the normal posts block and select that category.

April 17, 2025 at 10:33 am in reply to: Incompatibility with “Admin Menu Restriction” plug-in #343202Michael

Newsletter has its own role restrictions rules, you can find that option in Settings > Advanced.

KeymasterHello,
if you have a valid pro license with us, I’d kindly ask you to open a ticket, so that one of our developers can reach out.

KeymasterHello,
no, Newsletter is a newsletter management tool, what you’re looking at is a simple notification system. WordPress has this embedded, with some limitations, but it mostly depends on which theme or plugin you’re using.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterAny customization should be made from the Subscription > Confirmation page, please click reset in this panel and save. I don’t think Cloudflare and Wordfence would interfere. Eddy, please reach me at michael@thenewsletterplugin.com
Michael
Michael
KeymasterAlso, please try to deactivate “Customize” radio button when “Default” is selected instead of “Composer”. Remeber to save that, then switch back to “Composer” and save again.
Michael
KeymasterThat looks correct, did you try a test send from there? Does that work?
Michael
KeymasterHello Eddy,
no, that’s not possible. I’d really need to take a look at a screenshot of your settings, specifically the Confirmation > Email tab. You can use any image sharing tool to send me that.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Eddy,
try the following:
go to Subscription > Confirmation and switch to “Email” tab.
Select “Composer” from the dropdown.
Delete all blocks from the visual composer and add the “Html” block.
Paste your code there.
Test a subscription.Michael
April 7, 2025 at 9:15 am in reply to: Have a subscriber choose what industry they work for and filter on that value #342652Michael
KeymasterHello,
you can send out a newsletter to multiple lists of course, but in that way there would be no differentiate stats per list, not even with the pro license, however this is an interesting feature and I’ve already informed our developers, we will think about adding this in the future.
Michael
April 4, 2025 at 10:25 am in reply to: Have a subscriber choose what industry they work for and filter on that value #342572Michael
KeymasterHello Reetesh,
yes you can do that even with the free version, however I’d recommend switching to one of our pro licenses in order to get more insights on each newsletter campaign. Basically, when a subscribers signs up you’ll ask for which industry they work for (or you can set this manually for each subscriber, without asking them, or again, you can ask them to update their profile). This means they will be assigned to a list. Then, you send a campaign (even the same, repeated) to each list and simply compare results.

Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
you can lower the sending speed on Newsletter general settings, but I also suggest to run some spam check tests.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
no, at the moment we don’t have such feature. We might be adding more targeting options later this year.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Gregor,
from your screenshot I can see a typo: “numer” instead of “number”. Please try to copy past this code, which is correct and shoule be working as expected:
automated-{channel_number}-{email_id}
Michael
KeymasterHello Gregor,
I’ve passed this to our developers, it is certainly something we may add in the near future. Thanks for your precious feedback.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
if you don’t answer my questions, it would be rather hard for me to help you.
1. Where did you insert your custom html? The correct place to paste the code is: Subscription > Confirmation > Email > Select “Text” panel. Be sure that “Customize” radio button is selected.
2. You can also send me a screenshot of that panel, so I can check everything is ok.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
you can edit error messages from the core plugin files, but there’s no option to edit them in the plugin frontend. We’ll think about adding this in the future.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHi,
you said you added the html, may I ask where exactly did you add it? Did you check the “customize” radio button? Also, we recently added the option to create your customized service emails with our visual composer, did you give that a try?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Kaz,
no, we still haven’t introduced this feature, sorry about that.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterI’m sorry, I still don’t understand what exactly isn’t working here. Did you design your confirmation email using the composer?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
I already answered you on the other topic. I’ll close this one.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
can you please explain further? How is the layout different from what you designed?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
even if we didn’t introduce this feature yet, it’s fairly easy to run an ab test with Newsletter: just use lists, send the same newsletter to two different lists and compare results.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterGlad you solved this, let me know if you need anything else.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Florian,
sorry for this delay. We recently introduced the option to create welcome and confirmation emails with our composer. If you use that, merge tags like {date_Y} will work correctly.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
please contact your sending provider and ask them which is the hourly speed limit, then set the same amount in Newsletter general settings.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
as I said, it’s your theme that’s interfering with our code. Please change this css rule in your theme’s style file and use your preferred color.
.tnp-subscription label, .tnp-profile label {
color: #c11d1d;
}Michael
KeymasterHello,
did you correctly setup Newsletter main page? It should contain Newsletter main tag only and nothing else.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
this is caused by your theme css interfering with our form. I’ll check the code and give you the right rules to be applied.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
if you’re referring to merge tags, you can find them here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/newsletters/newsletter-tags/

KeymasterHello Esther,
I’m taking a look right now, I’ll update you as soon as possible.

KeymasterHello,
please perform a Lighthouse test on your website, that will allow you to bettere understand which element exactly is causing the (barely noticeable) CLS. You can perform a Lighthouse test by using Chrome’s developer options.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterYou’re welcome!
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
hate to say that, but ChatGpt is correct : )
Lists are part of the core plugin, which is 100% free.Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
I already did: https://pagespeed.web.dev/analysis/https-bujuyollarda-com/cfm3no1ehu?form_factor=mobile
There’s no mentioning of Newsletter widget on the results.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
that’s right, names and other details are synced only once, when you import them. Any other edits other than email addresses should be synced manually. I’ve informed our developers of you request, it might be something we can consider adding in the future.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
I’ve run some tests on your website, and it looks like there are other elements contributing heavily to CLS score. Take a look here: https://webvitals.dev/cls/52RdMQLfBtFDjOrVJR5a
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
no, blocks can’t be inserted inside columns, but we will think about this in next developments.

Michael
KeymasterCiao Giancarlo,
questo problema è relativo al cron, ti consiglio di utilizzare un servizio di cron esterno (il tuo hosting può fornirtene uno, oppure ci sono soluzioni a pagamento come easycron).
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Oliver,
this is the current compatibility of html anchors in email design: https://www.caniemail.com/search/?s=anchors. As you can see, they’re extremely unreliable, so we won’t add this to Newsletter.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
if you have an active paid license, please open a support ticket from your account area, thank you.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
no, that’s not possible within email design.
michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
yes of course, a new import won’t delete old subscribers if they are not present in the import file: they will be left untouched. If you need to delete them, you can delete all subscribers before a new import.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
that’s not possible for technical reasons. Yes, the only way is by duplicating existing newsletters.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
this is caused by the Antispam filter, please check Antispam logs for further info.

that’s not possible with an automation, but you can move them manually going to Subscribers>Maintenance, or one by one.

KeymasterHello Jen,
could you share with us an example of the two notifications you are getting? Are you sure there are no cc’s? Or maybe you’re using another form plugin with notifications turned on?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Adam,
we’ve checked extensively the TranslatePress addon on our environments but we weren’t able to replicate this issue. A quick question: is your subscription/activation configuration the standard one?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
glad to hear that. As this is a public forum, you might want to share your solution here, as other users might benefit from it.
Thanks!

Michael
February 20, 2025 at 9:52 am in reply to: Opengraph settings for showing images on Facebook? #340431Michael
KeymasterHello,
this is somewhat tricky to debug because “view online” pages of newsletters are not real Wp pages, as they are dynamically created. So there’s no way to customize open graph settings for those pages. The Facebook scraper could take the first image on the newsletter, for example, or the general website image, if that’s set by a Seo plugin. You can verify the behaviour by googling Open graph debugger.
A workaround for this might be setting a general website opengraph cover image, optimized, which will be detected by Facebook (and most other social networks).
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
no, we do not have such a feature at the moment. I think you could automate this with some combination of plugins, but we cannot give support on these matters.

KeymasterHello Adam,
we’re looking into this, it’s related to how TranslatePress works. I’ll get back to you as soon as we’ll have any news.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
yes, that’s your tracking code, you can enter it in welcome page settings panel even if you have already a seo plugin who manages it. You can then find subscription conversions in your Google Analytics panel.
Michael
Michael

no we don’t have that option at the moment, sorry about that.

February 7, 2025 at 9:41 am in reply to: SASL login name rejected: Too many bounces, sender blocked. Expires: 2025-02-05 #339821Michael
KeymasterHello,
I meant, contact your hosting provider. That’s how you’re sending mails currently. Our plugin doesn’t send anything on its own, it relies on the selected sending engine, like the website itself, external sending services and so on.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
since that’s just a notification message, it’s only available in english at the moment. You could edit the plugin files directly, if you are proficient with php, but we don’t provide support on those matters unfortunately.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
I just tried to sign up and I can confirm the 404s. Are you sure you created a Newsletter page with only the newsletter main tag in it?
Michael
February 5, 2025 at 9:30 pm in reply to: SASL login name rejected: Too many bounces, sender blocked. Expires: 2025-02-05 #339714Michael
KeymasterHello,
you should ask your provider for errors, if all emails bounce back there’s probably some misconfiguration at server level.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
those informations are already correctly formatted. remember to write data one per line, and to keep the same order for all lines (e.g. name, surname, email address, gender and so on). Separate values with commas and export as simple text. The copy everything from there and follow the automated procedure.

Michael
February 4, 2025 at 9:46 am in reply to: Automatic mailing series, there is a delay which is the correct solution? #339614Michael
KeymasterHello,
delay is always counted towards last message. So if you want to send on 2nd day, 3rd day and 4th day, you should set 24 hours delay on all messages.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
yes of course. You will have to link it through a image sharing service.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Pierre,
glad to have helped.
Have a good day
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
this may be caused by an automatic unsubscription. Is your email address on the same domain?
Michael
Michael

Michael
February 3, 2025 at 10:46 am in reply to: SASL login name rejected: Too many bounces, sender blocked. Expires: 2025-02-05 #339553Michael
KeymasterHello,
the error speaks for itself: too many of your sent emails are getting bounced. Which service are you sending with?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Pierre,
unfortunately there’s no easy way to solve this with an update. Older templates may be flawed for a number of reasons and the quickiest way to get rid of this is to create a new “template” once and for all and keep using that to build your newsletters.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
what Siteground suggested you is correct, and I strongly suggest to sign up for dedicated SMTP service in order to gain speed and reliability.
Michael
February 3, 2025 at 10:05 am in reply to: Using different SMTP for newsletters and wordpress mails #339547Michael
KeymasterHello,
yes, you can use our free Smtp addon to send your newsletters and service emails with any remote Smtp service. All other emails from your website will be sent from the website itself. Beware that if you install any other smtp plugin, then ALL your emails will be sent through that, even your newsletters.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
where are you copying your code from Canva? In the html editor?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Mike,
click stats on overview tab are related to subscribers who clicked, not single clicks. On links tab, those are the total clicks (a user could have clicked more than once) a link got.
Click tracking is 100% accurate. Opens tracking can be affected by bots, antivirus software etc.

did you also open a ticket on this matter? If yes, we’ll reply there, thank you.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello, scheduler follows your WordPress settings on timezones.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterAlso,
this may happen cause you’re duplicating old templates with some errors on them. Try the following: create a new “template” from scratch (replicating your desired design) and then try to duplicate that, and see if the gradient issues persist.
Michael
KeymasterHello Pierre, thanks for you video.
Just a question: if you manually remove the wrong gradient, does it get removed from the editor and the sent newsletter?

don’t worry, we’re here to help. You should have only one page active and published with the newsletter main tag, as described in our documentation. What’s exactly not working in that scenario?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Raphael,
I’ve submitted this to our developers, it needs a change from our side and we’ll evaluate wether to include this in one of the following releases.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
that’s not the main newsletter tag: please read here carefully > https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/installation/newsletter-configuration/#dedicated-page
Michael
KeymasterHello,
glad you have solved this, that’s what I would have suggested you to do. feel free to reply if you need anything else.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
do you have an existing public page with the main newsletter tag in it?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
glad you had this solved. Feel free to reply if you need anything else.

Michael
KeymasterHello,
CRON service isn’t free, it’s part of our premium licenses. If you need just that, you can use a service like Easycron or similar.
Thanks,
MichaelJanuary 13, 2025 at 10:29 am in reply to: Users with status unsubscribe can’t subscribe again #338412Michael
KeymasterHello Florian,
there were technical reasons behind this process but I totally get your point (I also saw your feedback on our wordpress.org page). We’ll be working to improve this.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterCan you also please send me a screenshot of the full list of your active plugins in Wp?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
you can see which db tables Newsletter use by going to Help > System. All your newsletters are stored there.

January 10, 2025 at 9:50 am in reply to: Users with status unsubscribe can’t subscribe again #338336Michael
KeymasterHelllo,
there has been a misunderstood with my first reply, I apologize for that. Repeated subscriptions refers to already subscribed users. If someone unsubscribes, the only way they can resubscribe is through the resubscribe link (which may be put in the goodbye email, see our documentation) or by manually deleting them from subscribers list.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Cheryl,
you’re right, that’s a missing option. I’ve passed this to our developers. Many thanks for your feedback.

KeymasterMi potresti per cortesia mandare uno screenshot del pannello Subscribers?
Grazie
Michael
KeymasterMa provando ad inserire manualmente uno degli indirizzi presenti nel file csv, compare la notifica che il contatto è già presente?
January 7, 2025 at 9:41 am in reply to: Multiple Automated newsletters and channels without duplicate emails? #338223Michael
KeymasterHello,
that would have solved your issue, of course. Every Automated channel can be sent to one list only, but unfortunatelyt at the moment we’re lacking any other conditional filters. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterSalve,
per caso hai attivi dei filtri nella lista degli iscritti?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterOh, another thing: I took for granted that you installed the Addon Manager and Import/Export free addon, is that right?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
from what you said, I think those are WordPress users, not newsletter subscribers. Please read the following article: https://kinsta.com/blog/stop-wordpress-registration-spam/
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
which version of Newsletter are you currently using? Import/Export tool is available at the main menu under Subscribers.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
no, at the moment we do not have such feature, I’m sorry.
Michael
January 3, 2025 at 3:49 pm in reply to: Will there be or is there an option to pay monthly fees? #338091Michael
KeymasterHello,
at the moment we do not have such payment options, as we only offer yearly license plans. But it’s non recurring and you have a 30 days refund option, which can be conveniently used to evaluate our premium addons.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
please contact your provider and ask them the whitelist the operation you were trying to execute (CSV upload).
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Diana,
yes of course we have double optin option. You can find the option in Subscription > Settings.

January 3, 2025 at 3:45 pm in reply to: Multiple Automated newsletters and channels without duplicate emails? #338088Michael
KeymasterHello David,
sorry my bad, from your words I thought you were already using the addon. Automated works with channels: every channel is thought as a “topic”, that a contact can be subscribed to. He will then be notified whenever some new content gets published on that topic (using dynamic blocks and taxonomies). Of course, if a subscriber is present in more than one list, he will get two separate (same) newsletters, and at the moment there’s no easy way to overcome this behaviour. Let me speak with our developers and see if there’s a quick workaround to meet your needs.
Thanks,
MichaelJanuary 3, 2025 at 3:26 pm in reply to: Multiple Automated newsletters and channels without duplicate emails? #338085Michael
KeymasterHello David,
if you’re already using our Automated addon and if you have a valid license, please open a ticket from your account in order to receive premium support.
Thank you,
MichaelDecember 27, 2024 at 5:51 pm in reply to: Users with status unsubscribe can’t subscribe again #337890Michael
KeymasterHello,
yes, you can activate Repeated Subscription option in Subscription > Settings.
michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
may I ask you which version of Newsletter Archive and Newsletter you are currently using?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Joe,
honestly we don’t find that literally 2 clicks are “a lot of extra clicking” : ) However, I get it could be faster that way when you’re creating a new autoresponder with lots of emails in the series. I’ve passed this to our developers for further evaluation, thank you for your precious feedback!
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
a duplicate button is present on the newsletters list inside every Autoresponder channel. There you can also create a new newsletter.

December 17, 2024 at 9:32 pm in reply to: Unrequested unsubscriptions upon submission of newsletter #337525Michael
KeymasterThanks Maurits. May I also ask which sending method you are currently using? External provider or your own website / hosting provider?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
no, we’re not compatible with wp-cli. Newsletters are stored in newsletter_emails table.
Michael
December 16, 2024 at 9:45 am in reply to: Unrequested unsubscriptions upon submission of newsletter #337349Michael
KeymasterOk, thanks Maurits. Another check I need to ask you to do: go to https://www.mail-tester.com/ and follow the indications, then share with me the results please.

December 13, 2024 at 10:22 am in reply to: Unrequested unsubscriptions upon submission of newsletter #337198Michael
KeymasterHello,
please also go to Subscribers > Edit > Logs (for each subscriber) and take a look at which IP triggered the unsubscription. It should always be the same address. Also, may I ask wich version of the plugin are you currently using?
Michael
KeymasterHello Stephane,
raw html newsletters are stored just like any other newsletters, you can create one by going to our composer and select “Raw html” from the preset panel.
Michael
December 13, 2024 at 9:33 am in reply to: Unrequested unsubscriptions upon submission of newsletter #337192Michael
KeymasterHello,
this might be related to aggressive spam filters that trigger automatic unsubscriptions. Please read here carefully: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/subscribers-and-management/cancellation/#unwanted-unsubscribe
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
if the subscribers come from an import, it might be a problem related to the original source file. Try the following: create a new csv with only one subscriber, along with the custom fields, import it and check if those fields are correctly mapped.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Jourdan,
it’s hard to tell if everything you set is correct only by reading it, cause every filter combination is potentially “correct”, it really depends on what you’d like to obtain. You say that based on your count, this should result in more or less 20 recipients: did you carefully double check this number? Are you certain it’s correct? Do you press save after setting your filters? The count number on the right should update every time.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterIt looks like we’ll have to debug this and release a fix. I’ve submitted this to our developers.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterNo worries,
thanks for your enquiry.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
.tnp-field-button {
text-align: center;
}Input this in Settings > Advanced > Custom styles
Michael
KeymasterHello,
I am still troubleshooting this, thanks for your patience. A quick question: do you explicitly set the background color in the composer (.e.g to white) ?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello @rob,
yes it has been added in last update. Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterThis indicates there are no particular issues in the sending procedure. How did you determine that your newsletter didn’t hit your recipients’ inboxes? Which sending method are you currently using?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Igor,
this shouldn’t be happening of course. Could you please send to me a pair of screenshots of the faulty behaviours? (Use an image sharing service, please).
Michael
December 3, 2024 at 11:17 am in reply to: Integration with form plugins on external landing pages #336680Michael
KeymasterHello Torsten,
unfortunately that is not possible at the moment, unless you create your own api integration, but we normally can’t give support on these matters, hope you understand. It is possible of course to use our own (html) forms on another website, since they’re generated with all necessary data.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
you have a filter active in the subscribers panel. Switch to All Subscribers.
