Participanthiya! im trying to start a newsletter for my audience, but whenever attempting to go to a wordpress page behind {subscription_confirm_url}, it sends me to a page thats a 404 error. i was wondering how i could change this url, or fix it as it was working completely fine, then randomly broke.

KeymasterHello,
do you have an existing public page with the main newsletter tag in it?

ParticipantOh wow, thank you! I felt a little silly upon not having [newsletter_form] correctly in there. It seems to have fixed my problem as I can now send test emails and the such. Does that mean this page will act as the confirmation url, just so I can know more in the future.

KeymasterHello,
that’s not the main newsletter tag: please read here carefully > https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/installation/newsletter-configuration/#dedicated-page

ParticipantHello! I recently did this, made a page and tried putting the main newsletter tag, both as a shortcode and just the tag itself, and nothing seems to work. I tried making a few pages as well, tried them, deleted them and they didn’t seem to work. I don’t think I’m understanding this, I’m quite new at this

KeymasterHello,
don’t worry, we’re here to help. You should have only one page active and published with the newsletter main tag, as described in our documentation. What’s exactly not working in that scenario?

ParticipantHello! I believe I’ve done this, I believe I have a single page with the newsletter main tag, but I’m still unable to have my subscribers get the newsletters, as well as I get an error with testing to send activation emails. I also tried to do a test email and got: FAILED (Could not instantiate mail function.)

KeymasterHi, about the error when trying to send an email, see this post:
https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/error-could-not-instantiate-mail-function/
your provider disabled the mailing for your hosting space.

ParticipantHello! I had done a lot recently, added an smtp addon, connected it through the plugin, and was successful at getting a test email sent through the test email address page, but when I send a test newsletter to all my followers, it says they go out but none of them receive them.

KeymasterHello,
if a test mail is sent and succesfully received with the Smpt addon you configured, then there’s no reason you shouldn’t be able to send also real newsletters. How do you know that “none of them received it” ?
