ParticipantHello Stefano,
thank you for your answer but i guess you did not understand. As far as I understand the new EU law it is not OK to let subscibers opt in through a mail that is not explicitly for the newsletter.I know I can’t setup the newsletter plugin so it will send an extra confirmation email (with link to click) aside from the one send by WP or woocommerce for the account activation. BUT NO MATTER WHAT I SETUP, SUBSCRIBERS ARE ALWAYS CONFIRMED ON FIRST LOGIN EVEN THOUGH THEY DID NOT CLICK ON THE CONFIRMATION LINK THAT WAS SEND IN THE EMAIL FOR THE NEWSLETTERSUBSCIPTION.

ParticipantI got the wp_users integration working now on the wordpress and woocommerce registration. All it needed was some custom code in functions.php so the fist ans last name is written into the newsletter database.

ParticipantHello Stefano,
sadly the update did not solve the Problem. Could you please help me with this issue, as the plugin like this is not really working for me. Once it is working I’m willing to buy the premium Version. But at first I need to have it working properlymrpatrick
ParticipantAre there any plans for a Update? Perhaps a reinstall will fix the Problem, but unless I click on Update, I don’t know how to reinstall a plugin.
Thank you

ParticipantHello Stefano,
yes it happens on the subscriptrion configuration Panel to. For example it wont save the Setup for forced preferences, if I check a Checkbox there and hit save. It Looks ok and says saved. But when I open the the Setup page next time nothing was stored.mrpatrick
ParticipantI discovered a work around. The error seems to come from the not saving some of the changes in the backend. So in the subscription.php there is no value in the variable ‘noconfirmation’ , I edited the subscription.php and replaced ‘noconfirmation’ with a 0 for double optin and the ‘notify’ with a 0 for no admin notification. Now it works. But this can only be a temporary solution. A permanent solution would be great.
I’m thankfull for any suggestions

ParticipantI discovert a nother error, in the wordpress Backend under List Building whatever I Change or Input(text) on the different Tabs, for example text for a confimation email or forced preferences is not stored. If I leave the backend and return the changes are gone.
Perhaps this has something to do with the error I reportet earlier.

ParticipantHello Stefano,
I got rid of pie Register to have my page working, everything works so far, users get subscribed on Registration and confirmed on fist Login.
But I the customer gets this error after submitting a Registration:Warning: Illegal string offset ‘noconfirmation’ in /wp-content/plugins/newsletter/subscription/subscription.php on line 363
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /wp-content/plugins/newsletter/subscription/subscription.php:363) in /wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1171
and a similar on first Login. But still the Newsletter plugin and Registration and Login in works, if you just reload the page.
Thank you for any help

ParticipantThank you Stefano,
it seems to work, I couldn’t find that shortcode in the documentation. As soon as you add the function that the first and last name of somebody who subscribes via wordpress registration gets copied to the newsletter subscribtion list, I will be more than happy to buy the plugin.
