Im using the Plugin on a German WordPress Site (not Multilanguage). But all the Backend Settings are presented in English. Also all the Standard Text for the Front End User like “Thanks for subscribing” or “unsubscribe”.

As i understand from you Documentation, this should automatically switch to the correct Language for Single Language Site:

    What i am missing?

    Hello,

backend language follows your WordPress language, so if you have it in english, our plugin also will be in english. Frontend labels can be translated from the panels inside our plugin, e.g Subscription > Settings > Confirmation, and so on.

    Hi Michael

Thanks for your answer. Thats exactly the problem. It doesn’t follow my WordPress language. I have wordpress in german, all the native WordPress backend settings are in german, but the plugin is not.

    Hello,

may I ask you which Wp version are you on? Also, please check in WordPress updates panel if you have any update available (translations updates are usually towards the end of the page). Also, can you tell your website url?

    Thanks,
    Michael

    Hi Michael

    Thanks for your answer.

I just set up a fresh WordPress Site and the Newsletter Plugin is still in the Wrong Language.

You can find the site at:
    http://wordpress.braveheart.ch

    It uses Language de_CH
    Wordpress Version is 6.8.2.
the Newsletter Plugin Version is 8.9.4

    Hello,

I think I’ve understood what’s going on here. The fact is that our plugin hasn’t been translated by the WordPress community in swiss german, I guess that most people just switch to de_DE (Germany german) and use that, which is completely translated from english. Could you please try that and see if that solves the issue?

    Hi Michael

Thanks, that was indeed the problem. After changing to de_DE it translates correctly.

Sorry i was assuming de_CH would fallback to de_DE if not available.
