ParticipantAfter submitting a newsletter I am getting a massive number of unsubscriptions processed, while I know for a fact these people did not unsubscribe.

KeymasterHello,
this might be related to aggressive spam filters that trigger automatic unsubscriptions. Please read here carefully: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/subscribers-and-management/cancellation/#unwanted-unsubscribe

KeymasterHello,
please also go to Subscribers > Edit > Logs (for each subscriber) and take a look at which IP triggered the unsubscription. It should always be the same address. Also, may I ask wich version of the plugin are you currently using?

Participant(1) Read it thanks. So that means I may not be able to fix it on myself, right. (2) Re IP’s I checked. It’s different IP adresses to the extent I can check now. As I did a manual reset of all automatically triggered unsubscriptions I can’t remember all the subscribers and check all of them individually. For the three people that were automatically unsubscribed the IPs are all different, but they were all corporate emailadresses.
I am using version 8.6.4, and a number of plugins/Addons: Addons Manager and Support, Archive, Artificial Intelligence, Bounce Addon, Extended Composer Blocks, Geolocation, Google Analytics,
Leads Addon, Locked Content Addon, Paid Membership Pro Integration, Reports and Retargeting, Subscribe on Comments, WP Users Addon, WPForms Addon.December 16, 2024 at 9:45 am #337349Michael
KeymasterOk, thanks Maurits. Another check I need to ask you to do: go to https://www.mail-tester.com/ and follow the indications, then share with me the results please.

KeymasterThanks Maurits. May I also ask which sending method you are currently using? External provider or your own website / hosting provider?

KeymasterHi, probably they’re mail scanners. On Subscribers/Unsubscription, revert the text to the default one so the unsubscription must be confirmed pressing a button instead of following a link. That should block the bots.
Here are some details: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/subscribers-and-management/cancellation/#unwanted-unsubscribe
