On February 6th I upgraded the Newsletter plugin to the latest version. And my blog was immediately down. Because I was on ski vacation I decided to simple erase the Newsletter plugin folder from the my plugins list. Now when I came back home I tried to reinstall the Newsletter plugin. Now I see again the Newsletter plugin in my installed plugin list. But when I try to Activate the plugin the following error pop up: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home3/../wp-content/plugins/newsletter/widget/standard.php on line 252
I am using Hostgator and my PHP version is 5.4.45
    Could someone help me?

Hi, you’re using PHP 5.2 which is no more supported. Ask the provider to move to php 5.6 or greater.

    Find more here: http://php.net/supported-versions.php

    Stefano.

Thank you Stefano. I moved to PHP 5.6 and now everything works fine.
    Best regards,
