Subscribers stay 'not confirmed'

So i’m using the double opt in.
New subscribers get the emails, they can confirm their subscribtion, but in the subscribers list they stay not confirmed.

I don’t know what is going wrong, any help?

Edit: Once a user unsubscribes, they also stay in the subscriberslist.

I have exactly the same issue.

when unconfirmed user clicks confirmation link it still stays unconfirmed, and URL redirects to subpage with generated code appended.

Confirmation mail is sent, but user is still not confirmed. Unsubscription doesn’t work either.

If I want to visit profile url, it again redirects to same subpage with generated code in the end.

This GDPR and stuff is killing me. 🙁

Please update to 5.4.4.
GDPR is killing us, too… but to the end I think it will produce better data processing behaviors.
