    Hi,

My provider has a limit of 25 mails pr 5 minutes. For this I set “Max emails per hour” to 300 and “Delay between emails” to 0.08.

I used the documentation to calculate “Delay between emails”
    https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/installation/newsletter-configuration/#speed

0.08 gives 1/0.08=12,5 second delay for each mail

However after a update of the newsletter plugin this seems to have changed, so I cannot enter 0.08 in “Delay between emails”

The description says “From 0 (default) to 5000 (5 seconds)”.

Would it be possible to change this so I can still enter a value like 12,5 seconds?

    regards Lars

Hi, the new limit is to avoid problems with overlapping execution. Try asking the provider how many seconds you need to put between emails. I’m pretty sure the site can send two emails in a row, they do not force 12.5 seconds of pause.
Since the engine starts every 5 minutes, it could be you can just send 25 email on every run with a short delay.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I agree that the provider limitation is not set so you can’t send 2 mails in a row, that is just my setting to avoid to violate the limit.
As I read you suggestion, a “Max emails per hour” set to 300 will for 60 minutes result in 12 bulks where 25 mails is send in each bulk.

    Thanks

    Lars

Ok, try asking the provider IF there is a need for a delay between emails. Maybe they don’t need it or maybe the want a small delay like a second.
