    Hi,
I noticed that every email sent through TNP includes the following header:
    “X-Mailer: PHPMailer 6.9.3 (https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer)”

Would it be possible to add an option in the plugin settings to remove or customize the X-Mailer header?

    Hello Miguel,

may I ask you what is the purpose or the reason of doing that?

I initially read that removing or customizing the X-Mailer header might help with avoiding spam filters, but after deeper research, I found that the impact is minimal or uncertain.
Therefore, it seems that leaving the default X-Mailer header has no significant disadvantage in deliverability. If you prefer, feel free to disregard this topic, as it may not merit further action.

    Hello Miguel,

I can confirm that there’s absolutely no reason to do that in order to improve deliverability, as you found yourself. Sometimes it can even decrease it. I’d rather focus on technical aspects like DKIM, SPF and DMARC and a good layout – content of the email itself. Those are key to reach a good deliverability. And of course: test, test and test again : )

Let me know if you need anything else, we’re here to help.

    Michael
