I can confirm that there’s absolutely no reason to do that in order to improve deliverability, as you found yourself. Sometimes it can even decrease it. I’d rather focus on technical aspects like DKIM, SPF and DMARC and a good layout – content of the email itself. Those are key to reach a good deliverability. And of course: test, test and test again : )
