Re confirm from dashbord

we are using [newsletter_profile] for customer dashboard. Is it possible to allow subscriber to confirm subscription once again after he unsubscribed? Currently if status is unsubscribed, dashboard is still accessible with checkbox to subscribe to list, but after trying to update status subscriber gets message that he is unsubscribed or does not exist.

yes, if you go Subscription > Settings, you’ll find a section called Subscription of existing subscribers. Set “When unsubscribed” to “Allow” to let your users subscribe again.

Unfortunately it does not work. We have profile page on which mentioned shortcode is implemented: https://prnt.sc/MX2WHqeGZe0b
Whatever unsubscribed user does, he will get redirected to /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=tnp&na=ps and shown some message.

I think {reactivate_url} should somehow be implemented when user is unsubscribed. I will try that.

I subscribed to your newsletter, then unsubscribed. Then I tried to reach my profile page and I got the “Subscriber not found” message (which is correct). Did you try this yourself from a logged in account?

Thanks for checking it. What we want to acomplish is to allow subscriber to resubscribe from dashboard after he unsubscribed. Subscriber is still registered as user of website – just has newsletter status unsubscribed. https://prnt.sc/XkOaAr4I6xbA. I plan to implement custom shortcode to show ‘newsletter_profile’ shortcode if user is ‘confirmed’ and custom message with ‘newsletter_resubscribe_button’ shortcode if user is unsubscribed. I was wondering if there is native option for that already.

Hello,

no, I’m not registered as “user of website”, but just as a “subscriber” who unsubscribed. I’m not allowed to access my dashboard anymore and if I want to re-subscribe, I need to do that from the goodbye email (or from the message that appears once when i click on Unsubscribe on my profile) or by performing a new subscription from one of the available forms.

Thanks, i just realized that we also have custom registration form that also adds user to website users – its multisite so i think its because of that. I will make workaround like i mentioned for our case, thank you for your great support!
