Privacy tick box and new subscriber email

I’ve just set up the privacy tick box on my sign-in form, but when new subscribers sign up and confirm, the email doesn’t list that they have ticked the privacy box. They can’t sign up without ticking the box, but I wonder whether some proof is needed in terms of consent (for GDPR).

I can’t seem to find anywhere that lists that they’ve ticked the box.

Hi, since no data can be stored if they don’t tick the box, if the data is stored it means they ticked the box.

Hi Stefano,

I’m just thinking about proof of consent. I could set the privacy box to not required, and the information would be stored just the same. I just wonder if anyone might question when I had turned it on (might be now, might be in the future). Or maybe I’m being paranoid!
