People signing up through form not becoming subscribers

I am using the short-code form on the website. I get notified when people sign up, but they don’t become subscribers of the newsletter.
When I look at Jetpack>forms I can see the form submission – but they don’t get added to the newsletter for some reason.
The last new subscriber was in March last year, but I’ve received many notifications of new sign ups since then.

Hi Jetpack is another plugin with its own subscription system, you probably can find the subscribers on Jetpack.

Thanks, I can see the subscribers through jetpack (even though the sign-up form is from the Newsletter short code). Does that mean those people I can see on Jetpack should receive a newsletter when one is sent out, even though they are not listed under subscribers in the Newsletter plugin?

Hi, if you see the form submissions on jetpack I don’t think they come from our subscription form. The newsletter is sent only to the subscribers you can see on Newsletter/Subscribers.

Ok, thanks that’s clear – it looks like another admin changed the sign-up form without me realising (!) so users were getting added to jetpack but not the newsletter. Thanks again for your help much appreciated.
