    Hi hi,
For my charity’s past 2 mailouts, the open rate has dropped from 50% to 9%. And I am not receiving the newsletter to my 3 accounts.

There’s been no change anywhere on the site. I’ve looked at the logs but I can’t see anything. I sent the second newsletter today (23 September) but the last log is 17 September, and says “17-09-2025 02:25:22 – FATAL – 8.9.4 – 15.1 MB/256 MB – [cron] > Delivery engine lock already set: can be due to concurrente executions or fatal error during delivery”.

I know 1 person received the email. It can’t be the system measurements, because I didn’t receive any email to my 3 accounts. There’s nothing in any of my junk folders.

    Help!
    Oliver

Hi, the fatal error is only a protection of the plugin; it is not related to missing delivery. Please, install the WP Mail logging plugin so you can have a full log of the WP activity while sending an email.
If that plugin lists an email, it means it has been moved to the delivery system of your provider and, from that point, we have no more control. If the email does not show up, it means it has been dropped (by your provider or by the receiving counterpart).

If you don’t receive the emails, please run a test from the Help/Sending page and check if there are errors reported. The test email should be shown by the WP Mail Logging plugin.

    Thank you!
I ran the test and the test email showed up in the WP Mail Logging plugin.
The email was received too, but now in the spam folder (for the first time).
So this means that our provider (GoDaddy) is “dropping” the emails?

    Hello,

no, dropping means that the email won’t reach the recipient’s mailbox. If it ends up in the spam folder, there are other issues going on. Please read here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/troubleshooting/spam-issues/
