    Hello!

I’m a big fan of your Newsletter. Been using it for years, and I appreciate the hard work that went into it.

My question. Does anyone know why, all of a sudden, all the formatting I insert into my newsletter is being stripped away every time I save? I have previous versions of (already sent) newsletters, which opens up and displays fine. However, if I try to duplicate a newsletter (which I do when creating new ones), all formatting is stripped away and everything is reverted to basic text.

I can even go behind the scenes and manually enter in HTML tags, only as soon as the editor is switched back to visual, all that HTML is removed and I’m back to square one.

Does this sound familiar at all? I’m using the latest & greatest WordPress, and all my plugins are up-to-date.

Thanks in advance for any & all help!

    J.

Hi, the visural editor (not the drag and drop composer) can strip some code when not perfectly formatted. The editor is a tinymce version (the latest one) and usually it does not strip avay the code.

Which kind of formatting is it removing?

    Stefano.

    Hi Stefano,
in my case TinyMCE doesn’t display a Font Awesome icon.
In the code I can see <span class=”fas fa-arrow-circle-right”><!– icon –></span> and that’s correct, but it is not shown in the editor, neither in the email that is sent out (at least I couldn’t see it in my Mail for Mac and in GMail).
    Many thanks in advance
