At present, a very practical option is to be able to remove a block from the newsletter if no post matches the send filter.

However, for a pleasing layout, it is often necessary to use other blocks such as a title and a separator.

If the block is not displayed, the title and separator will still be displayed. I therefore propose that the blocks have a “title” sub-module as part of the block, possibly also a text.

And sorry to mix topics within the same post, but if in addition to block padding, we could have borders, it would allow us to be even more flexible and creative 😉

    Thanks for reading

    Hello Yannick,

of course you’re absolutely right: I’ve already passed this to our developers for further investigation. Hopefully it will be added soon. We’re trying to refine and add options to our composer as often as we can, and your feedback is crucial.

    Thanks,
    Michael

I recently have been moving some of my clients from The Event Calendar to Eventin due to cost and features that are included in Eventin that are premium addons in The Event Calendar. It’s a great solution for people offering free or inexpensive online events especially as this is built in to the basic plugin (not an add on) plus it is lightweight and doesn’t pitch the ton of Google Search Console errors created by The Event Calendar (missing location, etc.) which all of us have been screaming about for years I think.

So this is all good until my first client wants to promote an event in her Newsletter. Hmmm. No block for Eventin BUT I think here is the Custom Post Type. Does it show up… YES!! Fantastic, I think for 30 seconds. However, while the post type can be displayed it ONLY displays the fields common to all posts: Title, date of publication, featured image and description. Missing is the Vital information of Date and Time of Event, Location of Event and so on. My workaround so far has been to put an event widget in a post and share a full text post by the way. The formatting is a bit crap but it is the best idea I can suggest to the clients right now.

Given the growth of the Eventin Plugin’s popularity will you be considering offering a block in future?
