My client has just raised something with me about when someone signs up to the newsletter. It would seem Gmail email addresses don’t receive the welcome message generated from the Newsletter.
I’ve tested it myself and it was working perfectly, but I realised I was testing with a Hotmail account. So I tried with my own Gmail address and never received the welcome message. I also tested it with my own domain name’s email address and that worked fine.
Has anyone else had this issue and is there a way to fix it?
Hi, the final delivery is accomplished by your provider mailing system. If it accepts the message but later is not able to deliver to gmail or Google does not trust the provide and drop the messages, we cannot do much more.
You can try to use an external SMTP, if your provider provides even mailboxes to you, you can try to use its SMTP.
