Everybody Was Switched to Confirmed

I have/had my newsletter plugin configured so that it marked people either confirmed or not confirmed. It worked fine for a few months, then all of a sudden it switched everyone on my mailing list to confirmed. Fortunately, I caught this before sending out my monthly newsletter since I don’t want to spam people who did not confirm that they want to receive correspondences.
Is there some kind of magic setting that I can use to switch people back to their chosen confirmation status?

Hello,

without an external action, our plugin cannot change subscribers status. If that’s happened by mistake, unfortunately there is no way to revert things, apart from doing it manually or in bulk.
