DoubleOptin is active but does not work

Hello, I have activated the double opt-in under Dashboard > Newsletter < Registration > Opt-in. That should be enough, right?
In any case, when I register for the newsletter via my form, I receive the welcome email with confirmation for the newsletter without having to confirm anything by email. Am I missing something here?
