Confirmation required message does not show

I have the subscription form set and working fine for those who are interested in signing up for our news. The issue is when someone signs up on the form, the confirmation email has been successfully sent, but there is no message notifying on the form that one has successfully subscribed and check for the confirmation email. I have verified that the form is on double opt-in mode.

What can I do to make the confirmation required message appear after clicking the Subscribe button?

Have you a page with only the [newsletter] shortcode and is that page selected as newsletter dedicated page in the subscription configuration panel.
