Captcha stuck in loop

I’m running WP 5.8.2 and Newsletter version 7.3.1.

I have newsletter set with the following security settings:

Disable antibot: NO
Askimet: ENABLED
Anti-flood: 1 minute
Captcha: ENABLED

When I ran a test on the submit form to suscribe, the Captcha, which asked for me to add numbers and give the answer, would get in an infinite loop. In other words, I would answer the question and submit, then another Captcha asking another math question, then I would submit, then again…the Captcha would appear and ask another math question…and so on. The submission never did submit because of the loop.

The only way to make the submission form to work is to disable the Captcha. What is going on?
