Can we limit posts by date and include events from our event plug in?

Hi
We are a NFP volunteer group in Australia and we have a couple of questions that I have not found a direct answer to in your documentation.
1. Is is possible to restrict the posts displayed in the newsletter by date? For example, if we send a monthly newsletter we only want to include posts for the last month
2. We use MyEventOn Calendar plugin. Can we display upcoming events in a newsletter? We’d like a newsletter that shows blog posts for the last month, plus any upcoming events for the next month.
