Automated sends one day and one hour after post is published

We are using Automated, it works well, especially after some help with configs from the Newsletter Support team (thanks!).

Normally we publish and the schedule for Automated picks up the new post at 0600h the next morning and sends out the newsletter.

Two days ago we tried a different approach, and set the post to auto-publish at 0500h. The site is quite busy and I can see the wp-cron is running frequently. The post reports that it was published on time at 0500h. At 0600h the Newsletter plugin ran ( I assume) and didn’t send the newsletter.

24 hours later the Newsletter plugin sent the newsletter.

Is there a problem or a time limit between auto-publishing and the newsletter sending?
