Working amazon ses no longer works, why?

I set amazon ses active on my website. I was successfully using amazon ses until a few days ago. But even though amazon ses has been active for a few days, the newsletter plugin uses wordpress’s configured email sending infrastructure when I want to send emails. It does not use Amazon ses in its emails. What is the reason?

By the way, all I’ve done is set up a list of subscriptions.
