ParticipantHello, i am trying to send newsletter but its very slow. It is taking an hour to send a 5-7 emails to newsletter recipient, in settings it is set to send 150/hr however as mentioned only 5 to 7 per hour is being sent, and we have been using this plugin for a long time however only after updating the plugin slow delivery of email issue has started
working Previous Version 7.8.9 and issue with Current Version 8.8.4
We are using Sendgrid API
No other changes were madeAnyone has any suggestions of why it is happening?

KeymasterHello,
if you’re using our Sendgrid premium addon and you have a valid license, please open a ticket from your account area so we can better help you with premium support.
Thanks,

ParticipantWe are not using sendgrid add on, we are using sendgrid through the free External SMTP add on; also as mentioned previously nothing in the configurations anywhere hosting/sendgrid api key/within wordpress has changed except the upgrade of plugin and since then it has become extremely slow
This is an urgent issue

KeymasterHello Amit,
please note that if you’re using our external Smtp addon, you’re connecting to Sendgrid using Smtp protocol, not APIs (which are usually more reliable, we do have a premium addon for that), but even with the Smtp there should be no particular sending speed issues. Regarding the screenshots you sent me: I guess those stats are from Newsletter version 7.8.9, can I take a look at the same stats but relative to your last send? Also, did you take a look at Sendgrid logs to see if there’s anything unusual there?

ParticipantHi, we are using your external smtp addon with API key to connect with sendgrid, which is what we have been using for last several years – https://prnt.sc/tUDZFMlotktA
In any case I am a bit unclear with what is happening, the stats are for the new newsletter plugin and it may show sending quickly but in reality it took nearly 3 hours to send 11 emails;
Also the emails although in newsletter plugin says sent 100% etc. – https://prnt.sc/ntZVkF_j5lB0
none of those emails actually got the newsletter in spam or otherwise so none deliveredIn addition when we put our email in smtp add on of the plugin in the save and send test email box – https://prnt.sc/oDR712qcl-DJ and (press save and send) it just sits there and locks up the chrome session tab, we have to close the tab as it becomes unresponsive also solidifying that the problem is with smtp add on possibly
There are 2 campaigns one on test site and one in live, when I go to sendgrid I don’t see anything unusual in their stats etc.
We do need to get this resolved asap, please guide on next steps
