Improvements and new features
The Newsletter Plugin

Hi there, I hope you're doing fine!

Here is a short overview of all the new features and improvements with The Newsletter Plugin suite.

New template change feature on composer

When you're composing a newsletter and want to start fresh with a new template, there is now a button to open the template chooser while editing, without closing and reopening the composer.

A new panel with all the custom templates has been added as well, for better and easier management.

New administration panel layout

The new layout introduced with version 7.8 has been extended to almost all add-ons. It should make it easier to access all the settings.

Please, update the addons to get that new interface.

Buttons Block with "action" links

The Buttons Block part of the Extended Composer Blocks, can now be set to produce a list change (in/out) when a subscriber clicks on a button.

It's perfect for advanced segmentation (it will be extended shortly to other blocks).

Reports Addon improvements

Now there are some specialized panels to get insights about a campaign. The Word map has been improved and a raw list of the countries added. The clicked links panel is clearer and the subscribers and retargeting panel are easier to find.

The export has been improved to use the same filter of the subscribers' view and with a lot more data.

New Twitter logo

Yes, you'll find it on version 7.9.3 (to be released).

Outlook not showing images (even when enabled)

The issue was related to the fact that Outlook does not display images in Webp. From now on, the Newsletter plugin will automatically convert those images into jpeg format, therefore they should be displayed correctly even on Outlook.

What's next...

We're working on new templates, a new subscription flow, and the improvement of some composer blocks with more options and a better settings layout.

That's all!
