    Hi Stefano,

How come that the profile url of Subscribers in one blog have http url, while in another blog they all have https url’s?

    Example:
    http://www.intu-jewelry.nl/wp-content/plugins/newsletter/do/profile.php?nk=83-5ca9xxxxx
    https://www.physixfactor.com/wp-content/plugins/newsletter/do/profile.php?nk=663-29b9xxxxx

The https gives a nontrusted message, when clicking on the {email_url}. Both blogs have Newsletter version 3.3.9 installed, as far as I can see with the same configuration.

Are there any settings that I could change?

    Thanks for helping me out.

    Kind regards,
    Thijs from the Netherlands.

Try to check the main options of WordPress, and look for the “site url”. Probably you have the administration side in https (?).

Hi there, I checked via PHPMyAdmin.

    But… In the WP database, under wp_options, option_name=siteurl and option_value=http://www.physixfactor.com (no https://…)?

    So that looks correct!

Very strange, since the email_url (webview of the newsletter) goes to:
    https://www.physixfactor.com/wp-content/plugins/newsletter/do/view.php?id=5&nk=14-1ce04xxxxx

So have you a plugin, maybe a security one, which force the https for the administration side? The url may be changed when Newsletter asks for it.

    Hi Stefano,

Yes, I had a Limited Login Attempts plug-in, I removed, but nothing has changes.
When creating a new subscriber, it still gets a https:// profile url…

I have downloaded all WP files including all plugins to my local PC (via FTP).
I searched all files on the keyword https

In the stats folder (of WP installation) I found https: urls’ like:
    45 0.05% https://www.physixfactor.com/training-cursus-advies/
    72 0.08% https://www.physixfactor.com/akoestische-projecten/bos-exhaust-systems/

This is strange, since they are/were common http: pages….

Does that give you a clue?

    Good news, problem solved.

It looks like the software needed time to change https back into http!!!
After checking it a couple of times, since removing the login attempt plugin, it has now reset all profile url’s into http!

    Thanks for your suggestion!
