I’ve setup the Newsletter Configuration as asked but still when I try to unsubscribe it takes me to a 404 page not found. here’s the links:

    http://academyofcaptains.com/newsletterconfig/%20%E2%80%8E?nm=unsubscription&nk=5-f8404133c8

It was giving me the same error page for confirmation and subscription but I created custom pages specifically to redirect. I have no option to do so for unsubscription, regardless it should auto generate as long as I put [Newsletter] (as is) on a page right? Please help.

Hi, check the url you set on subscription panel as “newsletter page”: it seems wrong.

I purposely made it “/newsletterconfig” because i had it as “/newsletter” and it still wasn’t working.

i changed the URL back to what was recommended (/newsletter) and this is the link being generated when hitting unsubscribe:

    http://academyofcaptains.com/newsletterconfig/%20%E2%80%8E?nm=unsubscription&nk=5-f8404133c8

Still leading to a PAGE NOT FOUND error. Please help.

seems like the page “…/newsletter” with only the shorstcode [newsletter] is not generating the right links or pages to bring up the right unsubscription messages

    How do i fix this?

Your url contains some strange characters:

    %20%E2%80%8E

probably you have some, may be invisible, extra character in the field. Try to clean it up.

those strange characters is what the newsletter link [unsubscription_url] generates. All i did was follow your instructions in the config to create a page with only the [newsletter] in content and copy that pages url in the config. everything else seems to be coming from your plugin.

Uhm, so are you sure those character are not part of the message you composed? Can you open the message that contains the unsubscription url and check if there are some other character after the last “}”? Or rewrite the link?

    Stefano.
