Inactiveciao Stefano,
grats for the great newsletter free wp plugin. Everything looks fine and i run test for email and smpt server and they work fine.
But when it comes to send out newsletter they are just being sent in a queue but not going out actually. I’ve also set cron job on hostgator but despite them running no newsletter is being delivered (all stats are to 0)
Thanks for having a look. my website is http://www.dnnews.it

Inactivefurther info: i’ve noticed that despite having some confirmed subscriber when i read in the newsletter last field to “how many people” will receive the newsletter it shows “0” zero.
On the other hand, when setting one of the subscriber as a “test” email and try to send a newsletter test it works fine. So it must be something related to “subscribers” than to mail server.

KeymasterCheck the sex filter: due to a bug it may be active on “not specified”.

InactiveThanks a lot Stefano! Unchecking all the “genre” checkboxes now it works fine and i see the correct number of subscriber which are getting the newsletter.
Howeer, after having set the time for the newsletter for sending it out, it is not being delivered (tried few times also with different service, sendgrind, wp).
All test are working fine… only actual newsletter does not “go” out to subscribers:(

ParticipantI’m experiencing the exact same problem on a clients website 🙁
The plugin worked excellent untill the recent update. I tested it at the time of the update and the test emails came through so didn’t think much more of it.
Now the client wants a newsletter sent and it doesnt do anything. Just sits with: sending 0 of 734 while it should have been sent over an hour ago.
I really dont want to give up on this excellent plugin but the newsletter needs to be sent so I’m getting a bit desperate by now 🙁
Please Stefano, help us out.

ParticipantChecked the log file main and found this:
18-03-2013 10:39:45 – ERROR – Blocked by transient newsletter_main_engine set 122 seconds ago
The date and time indicate this could be the issue…. just don’t know what it means :S

ParticipantGood news Stefano!!
It’s a bit strange seeing I set the time to send at 10:00 am and it is now 13:15 pm but the first 8 have just been sent!!
Now I’m just hoping the rest of the 734 will soon follow.
Weird that it took over 3 hours tho.
But thanks for responding!

KeymasterYou need to trigger the delivery engine, see on Newsletter official page the instructions.
Stefano.
