Hi Stefano, I have just installed the Newsletter plugin on a new site I am building, and wondered whether there is anything I can do to make the “First Name”, “Last Name” and “Email Address” fields in the subscription form look more consistent? By default, the name fields use the same font, colour and size, but the email address field looks different.

Here is a screenshot to show what I mean: subscription form screenshot

I would like all 3 fields to be formatted the same way, and to be a bit closer together. Is there a way I can achieve this? Thanks, Julianne.

Because the email field has the html5 type “email” and your theme has not styled this link of input.

Sorry Stefano, I’m not sure what you mean. Could you please explain in a bit more detail? Where do I style this type of input?

It’s a matter of CSS, do you have a friends who now the CSS/HTML and so on?

No, sorry. I don’t have friends to help me with this, but I’m pretty smart and will figure it out with the help of Google if you can point me in the right direction please.

Which html5 type are the First Name and Last Name fields? And are these fields defined in widget.php? I think I found the place.

I know how to create a child theme, so will try to figure this out myself if you give me a few more crumbs of information to point me in the right direction please!

I figured this out, and have added the required custom CSS to style the email field the same as the name fields.
