Hi, Thank you for the great plugin.

We have a Mandrill plugin (wpMandrill) installed on the WordPress and it send all WordPress and Woocommerce email successfully via Mandrill. For some reason the emails sent by the Newsletter plugin were not sent via Mandrill so i tried enabling the SMTP setting inside the Newsletter plugin.

We have tried all the settings provided by Mandrill http://help.mandrill.com/entries/21746318-Does-Mandrill-support-SSL-. None of the ports work and all give this error:

SMTP -> ERROR: Failed to connect to server: Connection timed out (110)SMTP connect() failed.

The same settings work with all other emails via the wpMandrill plugin, but for some reason not newsletters sent via this great Newsletter plugin.

Any idea what could cause this?

The Madrill plugin works because they’re using the API and not an SMTP which is blocked by your provider. For newsletter only the mandrill extension has the API option, or ask the provider to unlock the connection to SMTP servers for your site.
