separate lists?

I will have my main list where I send out monthly newsletters to subscribers, but I also would like to send out a one-time mailing to lists of emails I have to people who agreed to a one-time newsletter from us. Is it possible to set up different subscription groups, or to manually put in emails for a specific newsletter for the various lists that I have? If so, how do I do this?

That doesn’t seem to be what I’m looking for. I want to create a few completely separate lists of emails that I already have on hand, and I only go out to those emails once. I don’t see that as an option anywhere.

I don’t know what you want, that you couldn’t do with preferences. Because that’s what you select your recipients with. I have no idea what’s wrong with that, or what the inconvenience is of having one master list consisting of separate segments. Conceptually that’s the same thing as a separate table in a database.
