    would be wonderful, that you can group the subscribers, by a list in the subscribe form inside the widget, for send a newsletter to a selected group.
    example: i have an institute, I have a group of people who are students , another who are teachers and other parents. if i want to send a newsletter only to parents, would be great.

    all using, extra profile field.

    You can try to setup the lists, see the entry in the list building menu.

    hi thanks for your answer, i already try it. but the thing is that you can select more then one, so if i want that students cant select teacher opcion, i cant deny this opcion.

    Hi, you can mark a list as private. Have you tried?

    i understand that if you put it on private, the user have to enter in his profile and change it, so is the same thing. because i let the user to choice more than one opcion of the list.

    Private lists cannot be changed by subscribers.

    ok i have tried, but i will have to change it one by one. if i had 500 people, i will have to see which one is student , which one are parents and put myself. is not really helpful.
    i don’t know if you understand what i’m suggesting… also if in a future i want to export my subscribers list, supposing that the preference list works ok. the list does not shows in the excel the preference that my subscriber have, it shows a boolean.

    any way, I’m very glad, that you reply my questions, and try to help me.

    If you want a form with a selectable list (which hence is public) then those options will be of course public in the profile. And more, since one can select the list where to subscriber, nothing blocks a student to subscribe to the teacher list.

    I suggest, if the teacher are not in a great number, to add them manually importing them in a private list.

    More, since you let people to freely subscriber to a newsletter selecting if student or parent, there is no problem to let a subscriber to select both the options (even if he’s a student which select even “parents” or vice versa).
