ParticipantHi,
I’ve been using this great plugin for a while now. So far it’s been great! Keep up the good work!
I do now have a problem though. The website this plugin is used with has been moved by the hosting provider.
Unfortunately the maximum amount of mails to be sent on one day has been reset to 500. The newsletters are being sent to about 3000 subscribers.
A lot of error messages started arriving. On noticing this problem, sending has been paused.
Due to this error the mail to about 500 subscribers has failed. The error is supposed to be fixed now, so sending of the newsletter will be resumed.
The question is: how do I select the range of subscribers that didn’t receive the newsletter and send them a new one?
The received error messages give me the information of which users I need to re-target.
I don’t want all the others to get it twice, ’cause that will cause issues.Hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
Jan Polet

KeymasterHi, I’m sorry but actually there is no way to resend the newsletter only to a subset of selected subscribers. If you know their id you can activate a preference for them, temporary, and then send the newsletter filtering by that preference.
I suggest to send a new newsletter copy the old.October 5, 2015 at 6:10 pm #18171janpolet
ParticipantTnx Stefano.
I know resending a newsletter can only be done by copying the content to a new one.
It’s just that creating new preferences for about 500 subscribers one by one would take such a long time.
Being able to change preferences for multiple subscribers at once would be the solution, but that’s not possible either, is it?Best Regards,

KeymasterHi, but from where you get the list of 500 emails that has not received the newsletter?

ParticipantHi Stefano,
Well, when the e-mail limit was still set to 500, the first 500 subscribers were sent the newsletter. For every following subscriber an error message was created and sent by the hosting provider to the admin of the website using this plugin.
Since the plugin seems to be sending the newsletter to subscribers starting with the lowest ID number and since it’s known when the sending process was paused, it’s possible to find out which subscribers now missed out on getting the newsletter.
It’s roughly the second 500 subscribers. Those need to be sent another copy of this newsletter. I need a way to target them. But since preferences can only be set per user and not for a selection of subscribers, that is not an option. It would take far too much time to change preferences for 500 subscribers one by one.Unless there is a way to do that faster. Is there a way?
Best Regards,
Jan

KeymasterYou should extract just the email addresses you want to retarget, import selecting a special list, importing in update mode.
