All my preferences are private and I would like to search the subscriber list to see who has a specific preference. When I put that preference in the search field it doesn’t seem to find any subscribers but I know that there are some with that preference. Any help will be helpful.

So far I love this plugin. I only started using it so there may be more questions.

    Thanks, George

Followup: Just for better understanding… And an additional question.

At each meeting of our club we accept new members and also have guests who do not join. They enter their email address and name on a sign-in sheet and then, at a later time, we enter the information into the subscriber list, marking the person as either a new member or a guest, and as confirmed. The only way to verify what we entered is to export the subscriber list by preferences and then open it in a text editor. It would be much easier if we could do this right from the plugin. This is the reason we would like to search by preferences.

Once verified we send out one email to the New Members and a different email to the Guests. When all the emails are sent we confirm the number sent against the number of New Members or Guests and at that point change the New Membesr to Club Members and the Guests to Other using the massive change feature.

Sometimes all the emails don’t seem to go out. For instance today there were six guests but only four emails went out. All the Guests were still subscribed, confirmed and their preferences still set to Guest. It might be because of incorrect email addresses but we don’t know which ones. Is there anyway to tell which Guests (or new members) did not get emails?

Actually there is no option on search to limit the reults to a list, but you can try an export for a specific list. I’ll add that filter on next release, if possible.

Thanks. Such a feature would be very useful. For now I have to export the subscribers into a spreadsheet and then sort it for what I need – a lot of steps.

Another suggestion I would make is that on the Subscriber Edit page you display the name of the subscriber being edited. If you switch to Preferences, Profile, or Other you no longer know which subscriber you are working with.

Ditto on the value of a ‘sort by preference’ – thanks for a great plugin!
