I am unable to incorporate a {profile_form} into a custom welcome page. It is workin fine with default welcome page, but wordpress ignores the {profile_form} shortcode.
No, you cannot, the {profile_form} is a tag managed only on text configured on newsletter settings, sorry.
But if you created a custom welcome page which is a WordPress page, use the tag [newsletter] even on that page, an it should work showing the welcome text configured on subscription panel.
I’ve a page with [newsletter] but I only see the sign up information, even after the process and even if I open the profile from the email, I always see the empty sign up.
What I’m doing wrong?
I did a test and also the unsubscription_confirm_url doesn’t work. It open a page with some parameters in the url, then redirect to the standard newsletter page and the user status is still “confirmed”
You have some plugin or rules inside the htaccess which strip out the query string. You should remove them.
Even some SEO plugin does that (wrongly, there are the canonical tags now to solve the query string problems).
Thank you. In fact it was a 404 redirect plugin, I disabled it and everything now work correctly.
Now I just have to find a solution to use both functionality 😉
