    Hi there,

Having a small issue with the URL’s that Newsletter is using. My web address is 52tea.co.uk but the URL Newsletter is showing in the emails subscriptions is the “WordPress Address” (found in Settings – General) rather than the “Site Address”

    tl;dr

    Link is http://c3013858.myzen.co.uk/52tea/wp-content/plugins/newsletter/do/confirm.php?nk=1-f0719b9458

    Link should be http://52tea.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/newsletter/do/confirm.php?nk=1-f0719b9458

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Max

Check your wordpress main setting to see if the configured url is the correct one.

    Hey Stefano,

Thanks for getting back to me.

The WordPress Address URL is http://c3013858.myzen.co.uk/52tea
The Site Address URL is http://www.52tea.co.uk

They’re essentially the same but because I setup the site before I owned the domain that’s why it’s using the first. Is this going to create any issues changing the wordpress address at this stage?

    Hi Stefano,

but unfortunately it is still a problem. i have the same issue.

    Link in Newsletter is: http://www.SERVER_DOMAIN.com/BLOG_DOMAIN/wp-content/plugins/newsletter/do/confirm.php?nk=

Link in Newsletter should be: http://www.BLOG_DOMAIN.com/wp-content/plugins/newsletter/do/confirm.php?nk=

Wordpress Configuration has the right values – because it needs to be linked to The WordPress Address URL – which is http://www.SERVER_DOMAIN.com/BLOG_DOMAN

Blog can’t be moved from SERVER_DOMAIN to BLOG_DOMAIN.

So, it is bit confusing for Subscriber to see a link directed to SERVER_DOMAIN, instead of simply just BLOG_DOMAIN

is there any chance to hide SERVER_DOMAIN?

and i see in your forum, that others were asking too, if this link could be a bit more customer friendly / shorter / more esthetic.

    thank you in advance.

Hi, I don’t know why your configuration is made in this way, but the plugin need the wordpress installation link to point the right files. If it uses the blog url, installations with different blog and wordpress addresses won’t work anymore.

Eventually I can add a special configuration to manage that… actually registering a virtual url is a bit complex and there are too many installations to change that all in once.
