ParticipantProblem: When people put their details in to the Newsletter form they get this error message:
Fatal error: Call to a member function IsHTML() on a non-object in /home/content/l/e/s/lescross/html/astrogemgeomancy/wp-content/plugins/newsletter/plugin.php on line 726Background: The newsletter was working fine as of 5 days ago (11th June).
I have not made any changes to the Newsletter since its initial installation and updates.
I noticed that some people on this Forum have mentioned Mandrill. I started receiving notices about Mandrill’s paid subscription and migration a few months ago and contacted them. It seemed to them that I had registered some time in the past but that I never used my account so it was deactivated on the 26th April. To my knowledge I have never signed up for or used Mandrill, but I am wondering whether it has to ‘sit under’ the Newsletter plugin somehow and now that the Mandrill account is closed that the plugin does not work any more. (That would not explain why the plugin kept working for a month and a half afterwards, however.)
I’m a newbie and know very little about the coding or underlying software so this is just a hypothesis.
(I did get an email from Newsletter talking about alternatives to Mandrill on the 2nd May, but it seemed to be talking about a subscription service, which I did not have with Mandrill.)
When I go into my Newsletter dashbord page I see the following error message:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function date_create_from_format() in /home/content/l/e/s/lescross/html/astrogemgeomancy/wp-content/plugins/newsletter/main/index.php on line 57On signing up to this forum I get a warning message as follows: Your downloads
First install and activate Newsletter plugin from your dashboard or download from the WordPress repository. As I have already got the plugin I take it that this message is just an advisory note(?)
I apologise for such having to ask this newbie question, but as I say I have very little knowledge of the software.
Any help appreciated.
Thank you.
Les

KeymasterWhich other plugin, mail-related, did you installed?

ParticipantDear Stefano,
Thank you for your reply.
I have installed none recently and made no change to them that I know of since Newsletter stopped working.
The only related plugins I have on the site are ‘Easy Sign up’ and ‘Easy Contact’, neither of which I use – they are not on any pages (but which are ‘activate’).
Thanks,
Les

ParticipantDear Stafano,
Following your question I tried deactivating both those plugins.
I still get the same error on putting in data to Newsletter.
Hope that helps.
