I’m looking to edit the Newsletter template to make the first item look different – either put it on top of the grid of the pin-like template, or larger than the other listed items. I know that I could do this by hand with HTML -but it would be even better if I only had to do that only once in the template!
Any ideas on how I can tweak (I’m only a tweaker not a programmer) the PHP code to print out the first item, and then I can style it like I want in the template, and then spit out the rest of the “unsent items”?
I need to distinguish: FEED 1ST ITEM ONLY and FEED ALL ITEMS START AT 2ND as opposed to what is there now ALL ITEMS START AT 1ST.
Is this just a matter of knowing the right PHP calls, or is it more complicated than that?
I would appreciate a pointer in the right direction to either figure this out myself or, even better, the php calls. ; )
P.S. Once I figure this out I will gladly send the completed templates to Stefano to include in the newsletter plug-in.
