I searched through the forums and couldn’t find the answer. We have a bunch of custom fields like pronouns (he, she, him, her), companies name etc… that we need to insert into the newsletter and get substituted when sent.

I tried to do things like {pronoun} hoping it would change it out with he or she. I even tried nl[1] but that didn’t work either.

Can someone tell me how to get the custom profile fields to show up in the actual newsletter?

    Thanks!

Try to use the standard tags:

and let me know if they address all your needs, otherwise we can look for possible alternatives.

Thanks Stefano but the standard tags don’t work in this case. For instance the client wants to send an email to a customer who might have an admin assistant. So they want to send text that says something like:

Dear Mr Cook, I have sent an email to your admin LUCY about the upcoming event. Please have HER send an email back to verify you can attend.

So in the above example we need to attach LUCY and HER to the subscriber so we could insert those tags into the outgoing email and customize it for each subscriber.

    Thanks!

It’s not easy to solve this particular case. Of course an email can be written like “Please have him/her” sending… Creating logic tag for gender is not a five minutes coding session and requires a lot of work.
