    Hi Stefano –

Thank you for creating the Newsletter plugin and for supporting it so well. It’s great.

I’d like to use Google Analytics utm tracking codes to be able to identify visits coming to our website from the newsletters that we publish. I can hand-code the URLs in the newsletter, but I wonder whether there is an easier way that I’m just not seeing yet. Is there support in the plugin itself for this?

If not, that would be a great new feature. All I need is a way to specify the utm tracking code to be appended to all the links in the newsletter, and that would be sufficient.

Thanks for considering this, or for pointing me to the right place in the plugin if it’s already a supported feature.

Hi, thank you for your suggestion. Actually there is not support, but I can try to add it.

    Stefano.

    Hi Stefano:

You said (back in 2014): “Hi, thank you for your suggestion. Actually there is not support, but I can try to add it [Google Analytics utm tracking support]”

It looks like this is a feature request that hasn’t been fulfilled yet, and one which seems to have recently been the subject of a few more questions and inquiries here on your forum.

Would you consider adding support for this, now? I know how to add it manually, editing the theme.php files in the extensions folders, but it’s pretty tedious doing things that way for every new newsletter for every client. It would be a terrific addition to the already excellent feature set in your plugin.

    Thanks for considering it!
